  1. What cute little birdies and they do resemble little cockatiels now, my favorite picture is the third one with all three looking to the camera as if it were food coming, thanks for sharing them with us and I know you are enjoying every minute of it.
  2. Its good to hear from you again, please don't stay away so long and share some stories if you have any of your life with Alex and Martini. Pictures would be a good addition too.
  3. Hello James and welcome to our family, why don't you tell us more about you and your grey so we can get to know you better. We also love pictures here so if you have some of your grey you would share with us we would love to see him/her. BTW, what is your grey's name?
  4. Brittany, I am so sorry to hear of this, one of the dangers of having a flighted bird but do take the suggestions of everyone who has posted so far, do not give up looking. That was excellent advice Chris about putting Pepper's cage outside with food in it, she may just come to it and do involve the neighbors, go door to door and get the word out that she is missing. I pray for her safe return.
  5. This is going to be one greyt project to honor Juno and to remember him by as if you needed something to help you with that for you will never forget him and besides we won't forget about him either, you are an amazing woman Dee.
  6. Please let us know what you find out about Spock, I continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers, hang in there buddy.
  7. "The Designer Grey" heaven help us if it ever comes to pass, so glad I won't be alive to witness it but it is a horrible thought, God help us all.
  8. Marguerite you can vent anytime you want to but you know what you have to do when these people come back from their vacation, they owe you big time, so much so that I bet they don't ask again. I can tell you I wouldn't have been so accommodating to people who can't control their own dogs then put them off on other people, a simple no would suffice. The next trip of theirs they will be looking elsewhere for someone to babysit their spoiled dog, you will be a doormat no longer.
  9. I have to agree with the others, if your parents have no handfeeding experience with birds then it is best left to those who have, many here have got their greys as weaned babies and have bonded with their birds just fine as have I.
  10. Glad to hear his wing is healing Shelia, poor Charlie and his ouchy wing, it will be all better soon.
  11. Well Harley may just not be a talker but you never can tell, he may surprise you one day but glad to hear the relationship is going good and I am surprised that he gets along with the other two birds, most greys do not, including my two birds. You are lucky in one respect though, your conure talks and mine doesn't, she never has so I have one bird that talks and one that doesn't but I love them both just the same. Thanks for the great update on Harley and keep up the good work.
  12. Cheryl, we usually like a little information about you like if you have other birds, is this your first grey and so forth so we can get to know you a little.
  13. Josey here, I can't believe how my parront sleeps in on two days out of the week, makes my breakfast late and I am not a happy camper when I have to wait for my food, whats the matter with her, doesn't she know she needs to feed me at the same time every day, one of these days she will pay for that mistake, you just wait and see what happens and then she will be on some greyforum crying her eyes out to get their sympathy, fat chance!
  14. Jayd wrote: Spock, Jayd, who cares, we all know it is from the same wonderful family:laugh: just don't let it happen again. just kidding:laugh: :woohoo: Another beautiful amazon and I love the first picture, a head on shot, another winner Spock, opps I mean Jayd:blush:
  15. Thanks Adam for the great update on Bismark and glad to hear things are going wonderful for you and him, I know how life gets busy sometimes but its great you found a little time to let us know how you two are doing. I love the pictures, he is very handsome and looks to be enjoying himself immensely, it just took a little time for him to become accustomed to that new thingy hanging there. Please don't let so much time go by that you don't stop in and give us an update on him and share all the pictures and videos you want, we love them.
  16. You two share a special relationship and it is wonderful that you can have Blue in your home from time to time, he enjoys his visits but he is also glad to see his Daddy come and get him, I am in awe. I hope you get the picture problem figured out for I want to see them.
  17. Happy Hatchday Keeko, I know your Mum is going to spoil you rotten today as she does every day, he is a beautiful boy isn't he. :cheer:
  18. Forewarned is forearmed, when you know of the dangers and take the steps to eliminate or minimize them then there is no good reason to clip. I wish I had known when I first got my grey but she was clipped before I got her home and I truly regret it.
  19. He is named Salsa because he is hot and spicy right Maggie?
  20. Salsa and the greens are the same color, what perfect camouflage for an amazon, thanks for sharing Maggie.
  21. Oh my gosh, in that first shot you can hardly tell which is the bird and which is the greens, they are the same color but there is no chance with the too, a stark comparison, yummy they look like they are saying, thanks for sharing the pics with us.
  22. They do waste a lot of food when eating and you can usually tell what they don't like or care for, it will be some of the first things to hit the bottom of the cage as they flick it out of their bowl. I can tell you one thing though, a sliver of cheddar cheese is never wasted, both my birds will eat every morsel, none of it is dropped.
  23. Well you did a fine job woman, you do have quite a talent so don't let it go to waste now ya hear, let us hear more when you get the itch.
  24. When the poem first started out I thought you were talking about finding a gift for your hubby but lo and behold that special man you are talking about is none other than Beau, Steve move aside. Did you write this Jules?
  25. Yep, looks like they would eat most anything in their natural habitat, whatever is available so it does make you think when we worry so much about what we are feeding them to ensure they get their nutritional needs. Thanks for sharing that with us Jill.
