B) Cool nice to hear that you are safe. Yeah I wish all things would run smooth in life but there is always a stumble block in the way. No matter how well you plan everything. But like I said glad you are there, now enjoy your stay. Will look at the photo's when I het home this eve.

Max is same age as yours and he screems like mad, when it comes to feeding time. But screems for about 5 min after feeding then he is off to his food dish and starts eating or more missing around there.
-
Nice, now let me go put my Credit Card to good use.

Max is on some sunflower seed, but for now he is still on the formula 2 times daily. But other than that I serve him some veggies and fruit and a cook-up mix. Be loves his carrots. I am searching where I can find some of this food here in South Africa http://www.harrisonsbirdfoods.com/

Nice story.... :cheer:

Well then I have to remember to say happy b-day to you. I will see if I can find those type of wine boxes here in South Africa. Thanks.

Nope, years ago we had milk delivered to our house when I was still a teenager. But now these day we have a milk truck that delivers the company milk.

 Yeah it should work because I have no idea where am I going to store all of his toys etc.
-
 I am also thinking about getting one of those big plastic containers to store all the toys and stuff that i collect for him so then I could just rotate them often. :silly:

That is so true they could cuddle too, Max loves to cuddle. They like to find the warm places, I was working on my pc last night and he was on my shoulder. Wasen't long then he cuddled in btw the chair and my back and he fell asleep there. So I called my fiance to come and take him out after about 1 hour or so because I could not move. Like xxbeccyxx said go back to the pet store and start playing and interacting there with them. If the breeder will let you hold some of them, go for it and hold them you will see how they interact with you. Yeah handfeeding takes quite some time to prepare. The food has to be the right temp and you need to work out how much does your baby eat so that next time you could prepare the right amount etc. Make sure you don't over feed him or under feed him. I am on 2 times a day now one feed at 06:00am and when I get home at about 18:00pm. When Max hears the Kettle boiling he is already making such funny noises because he knows that it is feeding time. They are wonderfull pets.

 Yeah but I only had him for a bit more than a week now and he is already spoiled. Now i walk into a shop and the 1st thing i think about is what can I buy for Max to play with. :cheer:
-
Yeah it is cool to know the hatch date, but now I have to buy two presents on Valentine's day.

Hi there guys and girls, I thought i would share this with you. When I went back to the breeder yesterday to buy some more goodies for Max I asked him when did he hatch. He told me when I got Max that he was 12 weeks old but never whent to work it out. So there was 4 eggs that hatched and he was the last one, the 1st one was on the 11 Feb, 2nd=12 Feb, 3rd=13 Feb & then Max 14th Feb..... :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Congo African Grey parrot, Psittacus erithacus erithacus - these are larger birds (about 12 inches/30cm long) with light grey feathers, cherry red tails and black beaks. A Congo is often called a "CAG". Timneh African Grey parrot, Psittacus erithacus timneh - these are smaller in size, have a darker charcoal gray coloring, a darker maroon tail, and a light, horn coloured upper mandible. A Timneh is often called a "TAG". They think there might be a third African Grey, but they are still busy looking into it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Grey_Parrot

Hi and welcome MushuPorka, Well there are lots of things that you must think about. Like what do you want out of the grey? You have time to spend with the grey? Etc. Personally to me you cant compare the two, I had many dogs in my life from a young age the last dog we had was a Golden Retriever he was adorable and very cleaver. But very sadly we had to let him go because we had to move. Now we don’t have space for dogs. My fiancé wanted a small lap dog but when I showed her some African Grey’s and took her to some different pet stores she fell in love with these birds. I have been reading about African Greys for about two years now too. And I got my grey MAX a 10days ago and he is already part of the family they adapt so quickly to you and there surroundings. So to me personally I would say YES it is worth it to get a Grey. But do stick around this is a very helpful forum you would get some good advice from the members here.
