  1. You guys are so SWEET!! Thanks for the comments...have a good day!
  2. This is Aiden...he was born 6~5~07...he weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces and was 21 inches long. The whole family is so excited...it's been a long time since we've had a baby in the family... Heather
  3. I'm hoping to get a picture of him hanging from his ball...but here are some that were taken over this past year.... His small cage in the living room... Heather and Harrison
  4. Harrison was talking at 3 months old when we got him. Not mumbling, but actually saying words/phrases.
  5. I've added some new photos so now the double photo page is page 4...don't worry about it..it's not a big deal to me if it's ok with you...I just didn't want to take up the extra space...but I don't think it much matters...
  6. Hi...I have 10 photos per page...I wonder if that's the problem. My photos aren't numbered, I just counted them. Here's the link I took from my computer...this is the page witht he double picture...hopefully it will work http://www.greyforums.net/component/option,com_comprofiler/task,userProfile/user,1534/Itemid,26/tab,getzoomtab/zoomimg_limitstart,20/ Heather
  7. I'm afraid of RAW!!! I don't remember why, but I am.
  8. Hey..I'm shooting in JPG...we just went out again and tried some more with your suggestions (before your last post)...I used F3.5. Most of the pics, his torso is in focus and his head is blurry...but two turned out good. I don't know about you, but I shoot like 20-30 at a time just of one thing...oh well...anyway, here they are...I don't know how or why the second one turned out the way it did in the background...it looks like wind...he was wagging his tail (that's why his tail is blurry) I like this one: Thanks so much for your help...I can't wait to practice more...I better give Harrison a break, though...
  9. Thanks for the reply. My unit didn't come with a lens. I have KM AF28-75. I do have an external flash for both cameras but didn't use it today. I have a thing like Lumiquest...I forget what it's called. It goes on the external flash as a "bouncing board"...right?? The reason I used F11 is because I wanted you to be able to see all of Harrison. You know what I mean? So many of my pics are only clear on his head and then his body is blurry. I guess there's a happy medium in between... Also, these were the best out of quite a few that I snapped...with different ISO settings...no flash...the pictures were dark..that's why I even thought about using the flash...I normally wouldn't use a flash outside. I will try again tomorrow evening with your suggestions...I got off work early (5 hours early) because my student was absent...I got LUCKY and got to come home...if it's the same tomorrow I'll come home and practice in the shade...if not, I'll do it in the evening...thanks so much for your advice.
  10. What am I doing wrong?? My pictures don't turn out NEAR as beautiful as yours... what am I doing wrong?? I know the first one is too bright in the background....but his feathers seem to be blended together...yours, you can see each individual feather...yours is so sharp...I even sharpened mine in PP...??? Any ideas??? Heather
  11. Hmmmm that's weird...maybe you're allowed to see more photos per page than I am? They're pic numbers 28 and 29.
  12. Hi FairY, thanks for doing that. The second double photo is on the third page of pictures. That one is still there...the one on the first page isn't. Thanks!!!
  13. We will have his DNA checked the at his next annual visit. Thanks for all the replies!!
  14. Hey does anyone here know how to delete photos from our profile? I accidentally uploaded the same pics...I can't figure out how to delete them. Thanks! Heather Mod: If you are the only one who can do it, please do...you'll see two of the same on page one and three... This one: and this one Thank you
  15. Here's Harrison's cage...I've taken a few things out...it was too much, as you can see.
  16. Harrison was talking when we brought him home at 3 months old. He started with "Hi Birdies"...he just said that for a while then at about 5-6 months old, he just took off...he was saying all kinds of things...I've been keeping a kind of diary of what he says in his photo album...he says what I say to him or what I say to whoever is listening...ha Here's the list... I love you Hi/hello baby Whatcha doin? Cartoooons!! Hiya Hotlips OOOoooooohhhh!!! Hellllloooo??? Hello bird Harrison is a (very) pretty biiiiiirrrrrd Pretty cool It's OK Feed the geckos? You're a good boy. (lol) How's my baby? I'm sorry Hello Buddy How are you? Heather Where's Heather? I'm Sorry gootchie-gootchie goo Go On Ooops!
  17. Hi, when we got Harrison, the breeder was pretty sure he was a male due to his head size and eye shape. Recently, someone signed Harrison's Album guest book and said that he looked female. The next time we take Harrison for his annual vet visit, we're going to do the DNA check...just curious what you guys think... Here's his album if you want to see more pics of him... http://imageevent.com/heatheranddenis/congoafricangrey Thanks for any input!! Heather:)
  18. I'm not sure what Harrison's favorite TV show is. He does, however, say what's on sometimes. If we put one of his bird DVDs on, he'll sometimes say "Hi Birdies!"...If it's cartoons, he'll say "Cartoooooonssss"....lol. He seems to get more chatty and playful when the birds are on. Heather
  19. Tiombe...Harrison was saying a couple phrases when we brought him home at the age of 3 months. He started learning and saying a lot of words around 9-10 months.
  20. Judy, Harrison was talking a little bit at 3 months, when we got him. He didn't start saying more things for a while...it seems like around 9-10 months of age, he started learning words/phrases really fast. Now, he only has to hear something a couple times (sometimes once) and he'll say it. I'd be willing to bet that once your grey starts talking, she'll really take off and learn things really fast... Heather
  21. Here's a picture of Harrison's cage. I'm wondering if there's too much stuff in it. It's kinda hard to tell what is hanging where...can you guys give me your opinion? P.S. The ball above him is his absolute favorite toy. I described in another thread what he does with it, but I'll say it again here. He basically attacks and screams at it then all of a sudden he'll stop and put his head down wanting a scratch from the ball...lol. 22. Harrison hangs upside down from his cage and attacks a ball with a bell inside that's hanging. He attacks it, yells at it, and just goes nuts...then he'll stop all of a sudden and put his head down like he wants the ball to scratch his head...it's really funny to watch. I'm just glad there's a toy he'll finally play with.
  23. Harrison is always learning new words/phrases...this is what I have written down in his album...I just copied and pasted it...sorry for the format.. He just started saying "no" when he doesn't want to do something. Heather Where's Heather? I'm Sorry gootchie-gootchie goo Go On Ooops!
  24. Harrison talks a lot...he whistles a lot too. In the mornings, he's very chatty and pretty much just talks...the rest of the day is a mixed bag of whistles and chatting. I'm not sure what your question is  ...did I answer it?
