Yeah the puking is one of the reasons why I really didn't think he was plucking. And well yesterday he started lowering his wings alot more showing the grey part of his back and making squeeky noises lol. And well sandbag? put away? 500 is alot lol I only get paid about 110 a week lol xP To much for a daycare salary T_T

Ahh thank you, lol I feel better ;D My dad said they probably are both growing new feathers blah but what kid listens to their parents that often? Sad I have comfort in strangers more then my dad lol.

So i'd like to say i'm not scared but I am. I don't know if this is normal or not but my birds been loosing ALOT of feathers lately and it's not because he's plucking because he's not I watch him sit and clean himself and he's just sifting the one's that aren't attached out which is alot and well he's really happy because he's now in my room and started regergatating on me. @_@ Ew, yeah but meh..Is he doing this because it's changing seasons? My cockatoo seems to be doing it too. Is your bird doing this right now too? Normal? meh help! T__T Depending on what advice I get is detirming if i'm going to take him to the vet. I pay for my animals own vet bills so I have to wait until I get a few more pay checks since working at a daycare certainly isn't making me roll in the dough but yeah.. I will get him there if I have to. There the feathers little one from his chest and like the kind around his neck, not the pure tiny white ones, one's that actually have the stem.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I will try mushing things together lol sounds fun and easy! And i'll buy some of thoes pellets asap! I made a video today of him refusing foods lol I wanted to post it but apprently the file's to big for youtube =[ So.. there's one of him dancing instead.

My grey is still having "eating disorders" as I call them, he picks out the good parts of his food.. or well the parts that's good for him, the big chunks like what comes in zupreem, so this last trip to the store I got him little conjure parrot food which is pratically all seed and he won't take viatamins either.. Wondering what I should do. He won't eat any fruits besides grapes and I haven't really tried plums yet.. I think i've pretty much tried everything else.. Well not pineapple but he does like the fruit melody that comes in cans. He doesn't really like any veggies.. Like carrots, lettuce, Wow suddenly I can't name veggies.. Cubcumbers, tomatos.. Thoes are what i've tried so far besides peppers and things I don't give him much of dinner foods anymore because I want him to eat the good stuff but I found out my dad's been sneeking him pizza, cheeze its and cheesy bread behind my back -__- and I know if he keeps eating like that he'll never give the good stuff a try. They are defently put away now =] I didn't even remember it was down there, scared me.. lol but he's fine and still kickin' like you said xDD and stealing my food >_> so he's all good. He's still his lil ol' piggie of a self.

Thanks! I didn't even think about a wet rag ; Good idea. I know since he's drank some and ate like.. the little piggy he is so I will try that and see if anything will come off if it already hasnt.

My african grey was on the bottom of his cage and took the permmy sharpie that was in the fan out and he ended up taking off the cap and licked it. I got it from him right away but i'm scared if it's going to hurt him?! I'm going to see if he'll take some water to get the taste out and give him something to eat.

Well today and yesterday he basically is back to normal.. he's talking up a storm still has the same appitiate.. And he evesdrops on my phone calls.. Everytime i'm on the phone it's him saying "Why, what, huh, ok" So things are getting better and i'm glad cause.. well I felt so bad lol.. Still the cockatoo doesn't seem to know that Tj's cage isn't his and that kind of ticks him off but he lives with it.

But anyways thanks Fairy I guess I will just go what I normally do and hope he adjusts fasts. Still can't help but feel sorry for him though..

The cockatoo tried to climb in his cage I think that got to him we got him out fast though.. and when I scratch him he's looking around parinoid when he used to just enjoy it.. I know it's the first day they need to get used to this.. but i'm just feeling really bad for him.. and the cockatoos scream scares the hell out of him.. anyway to make the first week easier? =] Chicken noises.. my grey screams like a chicken when he's getting a bath.. Truely sad T__T cause he tries to fly away so.. it's a pain in the butt to bathe him. But yeah he has learned alot of things on his own. Especially the neighbors car alarm and the beep on our car you hear when your locking it.. He hasn't learned the microwave yet and i'm wondering why.. but he also whistles alot =] which get's me whistling without noticing lol. But just wait and be careful what you say.. I acidently taught my bird "F*** off" and "Don't be an ass" which he hasn't said since I found out he knew them.

Thanks to everyone for thier input. I decided not to get the african grey. Instead i'm adopting a very sweet 7 year old umbrella cockatoo from a rescue center whose only problem is he is a little underweight. Otherwise he's verrry sweet He let me and my dad two complete strangers come right in and pick him up and pet him and they even said he had been in a bad mood. And the cage is only 250 and we're getting it from a friend on saturday so 500 is alot cheaper then the 1500 CAG.. and 300 cage she was in.. I'm offically satisfyed, have my doubts but this is a lazzzzy bird that is lower matience then my CAG.

I was very closed minded on flying for awhile I thought it was a really bad idea to say the least and I never wanted my grey to fly. I'm still going to clip his wings because he's used to that. But I would like him to have the opition to fly.. watching some videos on youtube of them flying was really just changed my mind.. and I would like my bird to be able to fly from me from his cage or fly into my room when I take him into my dad's but just now I couldn't do that because he's 4.. and never has flown.. so it's really a one way decision... You don't want to let them fly.. for awhile then take it away and you don't really want to keep them from flying and then let them all of a sudden. And with a harness there is also extra saftey..

Thank's everyone I will talk to my dad about making a stand Cause well he need's one. Tired of cleaning "waste" off the back of my monitor.. and having all my decorations chewed off of it lol. And Lunababy thanks for the straw idea it worked for a minute then he threw it down but i'm sure he will want to chew on some more later. Right now he's streching as far as he can off my monitor to bite through my mouse cord.... lol... oh goodie!!

Thanks everyone for the advice it helps and influences my decision alot. Cause I know my bird now wouldn't probably like her since I would be playing with her and well he owns me I will talk to my dad about it more, maybe when he retires Lol I just know he wants a grey of his own.. Since the last grey we had was his and ONLY his.. wouldn't let me get near it what so ever.. I loved to play with her even though she bit but still scared though I was only 8 lol and we had to get rid of her because my step mom had asthma and well she moved out a few months after we got rid of her and I know he regrets that decision very very much. I would also be afriad of her bonding with me more then him.. Though she is female and probably would enjoy the company of a male better I would be here all the time doing things.. Yeah I think I will discuss it later with him and it's not like he can't touch or play with Tj.. Tj just prefers me and well can't be in his room.. he ends up flying (falling) off the bed and walking into my room. But he will let my dad scratch him. =/ Meh still a bit confused and mad lol because I always want to add new edition to our home but if I really can't T__T It just bites.. Cause when we get a pet we keep it forever.. No going back and I don't want any of the greys attention deprived..

So I already have a beautiful 4 year old congo. And well my neighbors had taken me to the mall on my birthday and we just HAD to stop by the pet store.. They had the sweetest 14wk old african grey female... She wanted to be played with you could tell that and she would let me pet her through the bars of her cage. She was verrrrrrrry sweet. And well I took my dad there yesterday.. as an excuse to get sunglasses I figured he would say no because she was 1500.. And our congo we got extremely lucky with we got him for 500 with the cage and he had no tempermental problems but anywho!! It's alot of money for a bird and she would be my dad's.. and he works during the day.. I would only be able to play with her after like a month.. Letting her get attached to him only then maybe I could play with her more during the day. I know he would keep playing with her at night because he hounds me to take Tj out at night when he's alone but I was wondering like would it be an okay idea to get a grey? I'm kinda re thinking it because it's not anyone has 1500 lying around.. plus 300 for her cage *rolls eyes* lol.. We could easily get one for 900 from a breeder but we just fell in love with her.. and my dad wants to rescue her from the petshop.. Petshop at the mall none the less.. And she could interact with my congo also i'm just not sure if it's a good idea. I love my grey and all but sometimes I wish he wasn't so high matience and I know this bird would be a great deal of my responsibility too >.<;;; .. Plus I have 3 parakeets.... I'm getting 2 more 1 of the current one's need's to be "rebilitated" and most LIKELY the new 2 will need to be too.. And I have 2 bunnys.. And cat's but like I need to give attention to all the birds and bunnys. ;ooo.. Sorry for the ramble just want to know some opinions. Did I minchen >_> SHE'S A SWEETHEART!
