  1. Aw what a sweet video! And those dogs on wheels look as happy as ever!
  2. I third that! Would love to see those images!
  3. Wow! Thanks for sharing! Great info! I'll be sure to share this info with the hubby next time Sully decides he poop on him lol
  4. Sully is hardly ever locked inside his cage. Basically only over night. He's in the process of growing his flight feathers, so right now he normally he will walk around lol He goes up and down the stairs like it's nobody's business if he's left alone! lol
  5. I put together some clips of Sully talking that I thought I'd share. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_DFfnDMIz8&feature=youtu.be
  6. Aw what a character! Loved the video!
  7. Sully is doing great! He's been crazy about the rubik's cube lately lol and I snapped a picture of what his eye now looks like now after he's healed up!
  8. Aw this is officially my favorite saying! I want it as a bumper sticker! LOL
  9. Adorable! You can just see how much he's loving the cuddles!
  10. LMAO! Mine does the same but it certainly wins our laughs!
  11. I'm afraid I'm not much help but I hope you figure out what's wrong with your little guy!
  12. Sully is doing so much better! And taking his medicine wonderfully! Thanks for all your support and thoughts! Here's another, clearer picture of his healing injury.
  13. Sometimes Sully just rants about anything and everything, sometimes he will say words on cue, and then, sometimes Sully will have the perfect timing, pick the perfect word choice and my goodness is it ever hilarious. For example, we were watching television the other night, Sully is sitting quietly on his perch when suddenly, "HEY!" Sully hollers out as we turn shocked towards him. At this point all eyes are on him and he pipes up with "Oh I'm watching you!" (with his one eye still closed from his injury). We were laughing so much. My husband will walk into my office for something and every time without fail when he leaves Sully will call out "Hey Bud, peace out!" So cute! Love to hear some of your funny/cute/perfect moments where your bird picks the perfect words!
  14. LOL That's hilarious! Smart bird! I've never covered Sully's cage, but do shut the blinds every night. In the mornings he just waits patiently, usually until I wake up and pass by the room to go to the bathroom. Then I'll hear his call out "Good morning!" or "Want to step up!" But if Sully wants to let me know he disapproves, he does this whole woodpecker thing and knocks his beak onto whatever he's perched on several times. If he's not getting his statement across, say one of the cats decides to get a bit too close to his personal stuff lol he tells them how it is! "Go! Go on!"
  15. So Sully went to the vets. And he did amazing at the appointment. I was so stressed for him but he did surprisingly well. He did let out quite the scream at the beginning but the veterinarian was wonderful and Sully settled in no time. His poor eye has a laceration on the iris. He was given an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever which I started him on today and has a check up next week. The medication thankfully is a honey flavored liquid I can measure out and put onto something enticing. The vet explained that Sully could potentially get Glaucoma or Cataracts from the injury but we will only know in time. Right now he needs time to heal and the medication to kick into action.
  16. Hi everyone and thank you so much for all your posts! The compress is a definite no-go! lol Never going to happen! But I did use a spray bottle with water. He enjoys being sprayed and going into the shower, and today I was able to get a better look and I thought perhaps something, like a little fuzzy, got stuck in there! He's been eating just fine and taking any treats offered, still talking less compared to his usual chatter box self. Our vet appointment is first thing tomorrow so we'll see.
  17. Sully has somehow injured his eye! He's keeping his left eye shut. He let me open it slightly and it looks like it's either scratched or something is in there. The problem is I can't get him in to see a vet until Monday! My other option if it's something that can't wait until Monday is a world of stress for him! Taking him to the closet emergency vet. He's eating fine, but definitely talking less and not himself. Usually he's a chatter box this time of day but he's been wanting to just snuggle and nap with me. I'm just very worried and wondering if he will be fine until Monday or if you all suggest driving him to the emergency vet. Also, while making phone calls all morning, one vet suggested lukewarm compresses? Anyway, suggestions or thoughts would be awesome!
  18. Hey everyone, Sully has been chatting up a storm lately and I've recorded and spliced together a bit of his chatter! Just a warning he knows a couple swears and isn't shy about saying them! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzDLx_1glJk
  19. Oh my is that ever cute! She looks like she's have so much fun lol
