Toni
I found it more work to do.I had my sides on a week then took it off.Yes it does catch alot but wiping each side is a pain.I figure if you have to wipe those down you might of just vacuum. As for the poop thing I wouldnt know that Alcazar hasnt tried to poop out of the cage yet.

zooman
im really curious about these new cages with rock perches. Do they use them or perch when sleeping on a normal branch? I raised pigeons and they perched on simlilar rocks ledges but mine were wood shelves with hay for cushion and they would lie down. Theres some amazing cages ill have to post mine soon. Teko
It's plexiglass. I like it because it doesn't make him feel so "caged in". Teko likes to "rest" on the rock (these are not real rocks....they are faux rocks) when he doesn't feel like wrapping his feet around the perch. At night, Teko likes to be on his perch. It's during the day that he usually takes naps on the rock with one foot up (of course).
Broomer
Well, even though I have them in my other post, I might as well add them here as well: Take a looksie: http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k470/lokicag/Gym%20and%20cage/DSCN0884.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k470/lokicag/Gym%20and%20cage/DSCN0886.jpg http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k470/lokicag/Gym%20and%20cage/DSCN0887.jpg Just a bit empty since Loki doesn't come home until tomorrow. {Characters-0002005C} {Feel-good-0002006E}
RyannsGreys
As I understand it. One should buy a big a cage as they can afford. the bigger the better... I purchased a Grey Palace XL for my pair and I still feel I could go bigger.
Doostur
Here is a picture of my cage. It comes with a 2 foot ladder that stands up on the right side and you can attach a toy from but I took it down because my baby would go up there all the time and didn't like coming down. Not bad for $230 shipped off ebay I'm debating on getting the matching perch. I also included a picture of what it looks like with a ladder (not my cage). Links below. Teko
The main reason we went with Cages by Design is because the holes in the grates are 1 inch squares. My Mom's grey broke its wing in a standard cage that has the wide space in between the grates on the sides of the cage.
mareeee
I just finished posting a bunch of pictures on my blog, so thought I'd continue on that roll here. Here's charlie checking out his new cage. We bought some wire screen when we were in the capital and had a carpenter from our town make a bamboo frame and table to put it on. Resources are limited here, but I was impressed what we could have made. Cage and table cost about $15 all together. Charlie enjoys destroying the bamboo. I was going to try to train him not to, but I figure its his and he can do whatever he likes with it. It's just like one big toy to him!

danmcq
That is a great looking bamboo cage you had made and I am positive your Grey will have a ball shredding it to pieces. :-) Thanks for posting this photo.
Sallas
Here is my cage (it is a picture from the website) I will have to get a picture of the actual cage next time i break out the camera. https://www.kingscages.com/cages/cages-economy/model-elp-4030/prod_52.html Also we have the black and grey cage
Sallas
I may have went a little wild when I got the 40" cage, it is taller than me with the toy hook. My little TAGs look so small in it, but i wanted to make sure they had room to stretch.
Toni
I know how you feel. Mine is like 73" tall.Inside dimensions are 48"H x 40"W x 30"D. Alcazar looked small in it BUT it gives him more room to jump around and too have lots more toys in it.I tried putting him in the smaller cage that my breeder birds are now in he wouldnt hear of it he got very mad.So he still has his castle. Add lots more toys.
