Maviarab Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Well after much sawdust, bleeding and cursing, I finally got his stand finished. Bought a base outside bird stand made from safe and untreated wood (specially made from supplier) and then 'modified' it to suit. Think it looks pretty good, Ash likes it anyway which I guess is all that really matters
casper Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 That is fantastic! I will send you an order for three please! Great job, Im sure Ash will love it:)
Luvparrots Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 That is a gorgeous stand, I am truly impressed, do you ship across the pond? Ash is a very lucky grey to have such a handy owner. Thanks for sharing the photo and can't wait to see some photos with Ash at play on it.
BaxtersMom Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 That's a very impressive and very attractive stand! I love the natural wood look and really like the ladder:)
LaceyGrey Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 That's fantastic! I've been brainstorming ideas to make Lacey a nice homemade stand and this one just about takes the cake. Nice work!

rierie Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 wow that is so cool, i think i will copy the pic and take it to a handyman carpenter i know in town and see what he would charge to build one.
Lyric Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 It's very nice, does Ash climb around on it much or pretty much just stay at the top?
Maviarab Posted January 28, 2009 Author Posted January 28, 2009 Thanks folks Got the abse bird stand/house of an Ebay shop here in Uk, he actually delivered it himself on the back of his flat bed van...will have to ask mum exactly which seller it was as she ordered it. And yeah he loves it. Does not spend much time down the bottom/middle, though saying that he used the ladder for the first time yesterday (think he was more interested in trying to destroy the cable ties) but his favourite pastime at the moment is trying to remove the screws I used to hold the top perches in place lol....typical eh?
stclerk Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Great stand What timber did you use for it? Steve
