BlueCounty Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Is this suitable for a Grey? Trying to introduce as many things as I can to Gizmo!
danmcq Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Yes, it is perfectly fine as a supplement to a normal Grey diet. They do enjoy dining on what we eat. :-)
she Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I imagine a taste is fine. Charlie will say "want some" when I am eating something he wants. He is very fond of fish, egg, crackers and steak. I only give him a tiny bit unless its healthy food. No caffein, salt or sauces. Sheila
lovemyGreys Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 The majority of human food if fine for our greys in moderation They love to have a little taste of what were eating
Suzzique Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 We share whatever we are having for dinner with Alex everyday. Also don't worry about how hot the curry is. Most birds love the hot stuff and can eat it like candy. They don't have the problems with hot spicy stuff that we do.
Jon94 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 So wait, i knew greys can eat vegetables and stuff like that off our plates, but can they eat steak? fish? chicken? or even pizza?
Azzie Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Cleo loves raw steak but I have recently been advised not to feed her that, a it's too much protein. She does enjoy a small amount of tuna, and loves cooked chicken. I've seen pics of birds munching on slices of pizza.
Dusty1709 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Dusty my grey loves chicken, pizza, yoghurt anything im eating but she only gets a small bit. I was eating a tikka massala the other day and before i knew it she was on my plate xx

Jane08 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Ours love cooked chicken with a curry sauce, steak and pork fillet. Pizza is a hands down favourite. I usually ask Kea what is for dinner and she yells pizza pizza pizza. If we order pizza my boyfriend even orders the birds their own pizza, a kids pizza called a donald duck and it comes without cheese. They usually eat all of the topping and throw the pizza base away. We don't feed them a whole pizza of course just a little bit. Spaghetti bolognaise is also a favourite and I mix salad in with that. I tried them on tuna and slamon but they didn't like it. They had a bit of a go at the shrimps, but they were not a favourite either.
