DustyBZoo
My little Timneh was flying around and ended up with flypaper stuck to his wing. The adhesive is non-toxic, however it is very sicky. Does anyone have any tips or advice? I would really appriciate it. D.
kittykittykitty
Try olive oil, canola or other cooking oil rubbed very gently from the shaft to the tip. Then wipe with a soft tissue. I wouldn't try soap or water.

Toni
I was going to say Dawn dish soap. They use that stuff on wild birds that get caught up in oil spills.Oil is pretty sticky.use it w/ a soft bristle toothbrush.

DustyBZoo
I rubbed a little bit of cooking oil on him and that seemed to give him alot of relief. The oil gave him the ability to groom out some of the sticky stuff. After a day he looks fairly normal again. I was afraid this was going to be a big affair, however things seem to be going well. Thank you all very much! D.

Tycos_mom
The thread thats there about my Amazon Fergie is a good one you half to get the oil off your bird one you get the fly paper glue off Dawn dishwashing liquid is the best for this because its gentle and non toxic they use it on wild bird when they get covered in oil from oil spills. If you don't wash the oil out it will cause big health problem and plus all they cannot digest all that oil in their systms so please don't forget to wash the oil off after you get the flypaper off
