Kmhmerc
Hi my 6 month old grey has tiny pin feathers around his neck and his red tail feathers are coming out. He is not plucking. Could he be moulting as I read this doesn’t happen until they are around 12 months old. I spray him most mornings which he loves. bHe is such a character. Since lockdown and me working from home his vocabulary has come on great. He now says hello Rio. Giz a kiss. Rio is a pretty boy. Wolf whistles. And does the theme tune to laurel and hardy.
Greytness
Hi! 6 months of age is about the age when they go through their first molt. It sounds like you're doing everything well! Misting and bathing will definitely help. You little one is super cute! 1
neoow
Oh look at your precious baby! So adorable! Pin feathers are where new feathers are coming through- so he is either moulting or still having some feathers come through. Perfectly normal. They might be a bit itchy at times so the extra bathing and misting will definitely help. 1
Kmhmerc
Thank you for the information. He is also learning to talk and mimics my dog barking. He also knows his name. Rio IMG_0534.MOV IMG_0535.MOV
Timbersmom
Rio is picking up on language fast! Fascinating to see/hear them develop those skills.
