KimKim Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Babalu was busy destroying the tops to pumpkins while I got the seeds out to bake Wasn't sure which area to post these pics to, so I choose food...
Timbersmom Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Cool pics! I like the pumpkin beak Unfortunately, Timber is still terrified of the pumpkin.
danmcq Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Pumpkins are a seasonal favorite of most. Ripping, shredding and eating those seeds. We buy the miniature pones and let the birds go to town. Those are GreYt photos and thanks for sharing this.
judygram Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 My local grocery store has those small ones for 99 cents, I am going to get one for Josey and see if she will tear it up or even eat some.
Luvparrots Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I now also am owned by a Russian Tortoise. So he too loves his pumpkin and all the veggies my parrots get. Halloween is fun at my house.
judygram Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 You will have to share a picture or two of your tortoise Janet.
Inara Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Loved these photos!! It's so fun to tune in here with my morning coffee and start the day with smiles. I will give a try introducing Inara to a pumpkin, too. That looks like great fun all the way around. And Lady LuvParrots, I second the motion on seeing piccies of your Russian Tortoise.
Greytness Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 So cute! KimKim, we're neighbors!! Did you get your Babalu locally?
KimKim Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 I adopted him from a rescue in Oceanside, but he came with his papers and he was bought from Omar's in Lake Forrest.
Greytness Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Very cool! I'm in Escondido; got my baby from the senior bird keeper at the S.D. Zoo. Wish I'd saved some of the cut up pumpkin pieces for my 5 fids.
KimKim Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 Wow, I bet that is an awesome job. One of my favorite things at the zoo is the aviary with the African greys, even if I can't find them lol. I saw some greys at the safari park a fee days ago. One was at an animal encounter and it looked like it was unclipped and she had no harness on it. I wish I would have asked about that. Why do I love to see them when going places, when I have one at home?? LOL
