dicky601 Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Meant to post this before we went on vacation; last week Herbie was sat on me whilst we were watching TV. He yawned and as yawns can be infectious I did the same. He then yawned again. I started to pretend to yawn and everytime I did this, he yawned. Unfortunately he got bored of this before I did and closed his eyes and went to sleep. It concerns me as to who may be the grown up in this relationship {Feel-good-00020069}
danmcq Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 LOL dicky601..!!! Dayo does the same thing :-) I also did the Fake "Yawn' and it works everytime. I guess they are infectious. :woohoo:
lovemyGreys Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 :laugh: dicky601 That's funny. why is yawning infectious, one person yawns at work & we all follow

Lusya Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I have a question regarding yawning. My baby does yawn before she goes to bed. Yesterday and today I've notices she opens her mouth as she want to yawn, but she keeps it open for a second and I am not sure if she needs more air or what is it about. She does it during the day, way before bed time. What could it be??
danmcq Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 It's just a good old yawn. Dayo does the same thing at different times of the day and especially when it's bed time :-)
Lusya Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 It does not look like a regular yawning... She opens her mouths, tries to open it very wide. I don't know...maybe I am being paranoid. B)
judygram Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I wouldn't worry about it, Josey does the same thing, opens her beak very wide and kind of cranes her neck while doing it and you hear a little click.
Guest briansmum Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 yep brian is having a good ol' yawn as a type this, long stretched neck, tongue stuck out and beak as wide as will go. gosh he looks like he's enjoying it... i need to yawn now
Guest briansmum Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 it does look a bit strange at first particularly if they have a yawning fit and do it a few times in a row, it's enough to send a new parront into a flutter!
loviechick Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 yeah, mine will yawn and actually make the noise with it, its so damn cute LOL
