You all know how I have been bragging about my new beautiful Fibert. He died last night. I am heartbroken.

 

They are performing a necropsy, however, all indications are kidney failure.

I am so very sad, but want to get to the bottom of it and find out if it was given the kaytee formula that has been recalled.

 

Just wanted to pass along my sad news and just remind others to be very careful with that formula..

I am so sorry to hear this, how sad such a beautiful creature could just pass away like that, you are doing the right thing to find out why this happened but I know your heart is breaking right now. Please let us know what you find out.

Kaytee had a recall on some cans of hand feeding formula. My Indian ringneck died days after starting on a new can as the breeder had her own so we bought a new can. Unfortunately, Kaytee said mine wasn't involved in the recall, yet. I used the high fat formula. They took a report and sent me coupons. I heard they weren't reimbursing for lost babies or vet bills so we skipped the necropsy. It happened fast. He was inactive that morning and gone that night after the vet visit.

I'm sorry for your loss. It doesn't take long for them to find their place in your heart.
