kave70 Posted May 11, 2012 Share Posted May 11, 2012 You all know how I have been bragging about my new beautiful Fibert. He died last night. I am heartbroken. They are performing a necropsy, however, all indications are kidney failure. I am so very sad, but want to get to the bottom of it and find out if it was given the kaytee formula that has been recalled. My Indian ringneck died days after starting on a new can as the breeder had her own so we bought a new can. Unfortunately, Kaytee said mine wasn't involved in the recall, yet. I used the high fat formula. They took a report and sent me coupons. I heard they weren't reimbursing for lost babies or vet bills so we skipped the necropsy. It happened fast. He was inactive that morning and gone that night after the vet visit. I'm sorry for your loss. It doesn't take long for them to find their place in your heart.
