ariisamis
Sorry I don't know about the tree or the roots, lol. In fact I am sitting here waiting for a lawn company to come and cut my grass and rose bushes. Didn't even know these bushes were roses.lol
Doug
My wife, Kelleigh, is spending so much money on house renovations that I have to scrounge around for stuff for Ellie...
ariisamis
She wants to make sure the house it fixed up for Ellie, after all she needs a great kitchen to make the fid food, lol. Better yet maybe she needs to add on an extra room for all the things that you manage to scrounge up.
Doug
I make Ellie's food AND the human food, so I'm not complaining about the new kitchen! Recent changes: The new mattress set for the guest room, the new bed and closet for my daughter's room, the new carpet for my son's room... Luckily Kel did all of the painting. (I get freaky if I can't get the tape positioned EXACTLY. Kel is not so concerned with precision application of the paint...) Soon I'm going to have to convert a room into a walk-in closet for Kel... Doug
Coffee is grown in Hawaii and Puerto Rico. You'll still have to deal with the airline but not customs. I HAVE been to both places on business. Maybe it's time for a repeat visit...

Loki05deMayo
I have been trying to find a thread, the right thread to post my question, that specifies when I should purchase a cage this big. Right now my bird is in a tiny container for 'critters'. She is 6 weeks. At what age do I place her in a bigger cage?
Acappella
I have been trying to find a thread, the right thread to post my question, that specifies when I should purchase a cage this big. Right now my bird is in a tiny container for 'critters'. She is 6 weeks. At what age do I place her in a bigger cage? What cage are you looking at Loki? What you have to watch for is bar spacing. For African Greys the bar spacing should be 3/4" to 1". A smaller TAG might be more comfortable with the 3/4". Next make sure that the bars on at least two walls run horizontaly. It's better for climbing around the cage. Dishes that can be changed from outside the cage are best, especially if there's a chance you might have to have someone who is not comfortable with large parrots pet-sit your baby. A cage that has a skirt can help catch some poops and flung food (note I said some! lol). Other than that, go with the biggest cage you can afford that will fit in your space. I love my cage from Avian Adventures. It goes together without screws or nuts and bolts, the doors all have locks to foil parrot escape artists, and the dishes lock into their slots so they can't be emptied and thrown about. As for the age, look around on the nursery thread. I never had a baby bird so I don't know. Happy cage hunting!
