ya this is my husbands adventure lol! I am tickled.........

morning meal time.......... baby feels the need to look over all her yummies......... becker gets right down to eatting lol!

here she is this morning warming up to hubby he has never had a relationship with a bird so he is a bit jumpy lol! but she was being ever so sweet!

no name yet........... not sure if it is a boy or a girl I think hubby was thinking rush and daughter was thinking ruby........ if a girl I liked holly bell I have no idea yet

isnt she sweet! and ooooooooooooooooooooo what a snuggle bug!!!!!! I am so happy

meet our new macaw baby!~ I just went to get it today. it is a calico macaw ..... a hybrid between a green wing father and a military mom. it is only 4 months old and everyone thinks it may be a she but we do not know for sure yet. one thing is for sure and that is it is one big ole cuddle bug!

I have a really good relationship with our vet. I was one of her first customers and have watched her practice grow. when I first found her she lived in a farmhouse and her office was the kitchen lol!!!!!! now she has huge buildings and vets working with her. she allows me credit........ thank goodness! because sometimes things come up and I dont want to squabble over bills

nice I really want a stainless cage......... I plan to beg santa lol!

becker and I are enjoying our morning meal... he has scrambled egg-coconut-sweet potato-banana- a grape and a slice of cooked apple he is cooing over his dish as I type lol!

I wish I knew what sort of parrot my great grand father had........ my grand mother told me her father had a parrot that he brought with him everywhere. one night the home caught fire and my great grandfather got all his children out safe then went back in for his bird and they both died in the fire. I was thinking just a few days ago about how odd it would be to own a parrot back then. as this would have been over 120 years ago. I wonder what kinds of parrots where kept as pets back then. would love to see kobo!

I find this awful...... and I am a huge fan of taxidermy but when I see how much money people get for even the feathers of macaws I doubt they all died natural.

my old macaw bo was really the light of my life. I loved that bird like a child..... before him nobody could have told me how wonderful a bird as family member could be. before him they where just flying balls of feathers. before him I had no idea the love a parrot could offer. and after him my heart has felt the loss of not having him with me. becker is not bo......... nor do I wish him to be. but I wanted my children to know the love I knew...... I am home with becker all day. but I do not allow myself to handle him all day long . because I do not want him to bond close with me. I want him to love my children because they will be his future

the tree cutters left behind some pretty sycamore tree tops. we tried to make sure our stand height was shorter then our shortest human. we still need some toys attached. but it has wheels and a nice base to catch all the bird fun lol!

my becker is afraid of boxes lol! I bought him a big wicker basket today and he ran away from that too lol! I think he must be part chicken

darn it all! I was looking forward to more males laying eggs!

ya he thought that because of the grey down............ he assumed it was feathers........ nope sorry. and I feel a bit safe in saying here since it is a grey place and he would probably never come in here lol! but really he does not need this bird...... or his blue and gold......... the poor birds are on a awful diet of crap seed and salty crackers..... the bg sits on top of his cage and is never held. he is so cage aggressive..... and now this poor green wing...... I have only been to the house 2 times and on my second visit I was holding the bg. It did however bite me lol! but that does not scare me. I brought them over some natural grape vines for perches . maybe if I keep pestering they will give me the green wing lol!
