Hi, I have an African Grey parrot, not sure how old he is, but I have had him for about 5 years or so. He has a leg band that says TRM AL then a number. I think he came from an Alabama breeder, but can't find anything online. Any help?

Hi, I have 3 African Grey Parrots 1 Timneh and 2 Congos. They all have their own cage. My wife and I always change their water and food once a day. So, we are going on a cruise for a few days or planning to but can't find anyone right now to watch them. Has anyone ever had this happen? Anyone have any suggestions?

So, most likely this bird was born overseas, and was quarantined here in the US?

Hi, I recently (about 8 months ago) got a rescued a Grey and am trying to find out how old he is. He has a leg band, but i cannot find any information on it via web. It says: TRM AL 53 I assume the TRM is the abbreviated name and AL is the state? And 53?? Not sure about that. I found something about 53 may mean April 2006? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the comments all! But, the Avian vet said he may have arthritis. Doctor said about the eye: Her lens is in front of her Iris and she can't see. Doctor said she injured her wing web and it is thickened and shortened.

Hi, I am new to the forum. We just got an older African Grey Timneh Parrot (Cookie). His/her has a bad eye, and can't fly according to the vet that we took it too. it is missing 2 toe nails, vet said probably got bit off, and on it's right leg its back finger is bent around backwards. Ours only uses 1 toe in the back cause the other is in the front stuck (tight). Walks fine though. not sure it it's arthritis?
