  1. I am so sorry to read this. God bless!
  2. Cute pic! I think she/he would look lovely in orange
  3. Wow, that was great! I imagine we'd all like to see our birds copy that.
  4. I keep having a mental picture of you at work... "OK, I need 3 copies of this agreement, mail one to Joe Brown, HELLO WORLD!, send one to John Smith, and give the other to me HELLO WORLD!
  5. I'll check it out, I'm an avid reader. I've never did the audio though. Funny, funny about ASC-2!
  6. Well, I guess you know what to put on your Christmas list. 12 Greycie harnesses!
  7. LOL! She'll have you doing it next...
  8. LOL! Glad you have your "initiation" behind you... (pun intended). As a fellow parront, I certainly understand your concern about the birdy bread and agree that Romeo is probably much smarter than that newborn. Who could question that??
  9. Yikes! Thanks for the heads up
  10. Yes, the hanging on the outside of the cage first after they are used to looking at it has worked very well for me. After Timber starts messing with it on the outside of the cage, I move it inside and see how he reacts.
  11. LOL Truth there. Timber does that when hubby and son are in the room sometimes and they ask me, "is he happy or mad?"
  12. Funny! Timber does similar with my husband. Saturday when he was on my arm, hubby came by and scratched his head (the first time he has allowed that). The rest of the weekend he went out of his way to try to get a bite of Gary's clothes every time he went by. It's like "oh yeah, I forgot I don't like you." Honestly, their relationship is improving a lot, so we are all happy about that!
  13. I've noticed that Timber (my TAG) has a different relationship with each family member. I'm his "safety net" and the "mother" I think. When he is out and about and gets startled or scared, he runs straight up my arm or leg (whichever is closer). My 20 year old son is the one he seems to "love." He gets so excited when Dakota comes around (he is in college) that he can hardly contain himself. But, he doesn't totally trust him. My husband is his playmate. He plays ball with him, runs from one side of the cage to the other pretending to "get him" etc. Obviously, he is much superior to the cats (in his mind), but he tolerates them. He tries to get their attention and toys with them by making sounds and startling them. He's picked up words from everyone in the house. I remember reading one time that they can pick up words at certain pitches more easily than others, primarily women and children. I don't know if that is true or not, maybe someone here with more experience knows. I will say that Timber has picked up more words from my husband than the rest of us since he has been here.
  14. LOL Alfie looks a lot more interested in the wine than the peppers! Enjoyed the pics, thanks
  15. I see her! That looks like the "here I am, now you can pay attention to only me, why are you doing something else when I'm right here" look to me!
  16. Hello and welcome to you Steve and Toulouse. Post some pics when you have a chance!
  17. I understand about the age thing. Calculated as you say, my TAG is 5. If someone was lying, he could be 25! Ah well, it is what it is and I love him anyway. I have had him for almost a year now. What an interesting flock you have!
  18. LOL You should write a "day in the life of" book! I have to say you must have much more patience than I do.
  19. Hello and welcome to you and Smokey. He looks like a sweetheart!
  20. I don't have enough experience to give you any insight. However, I can tell you that I have seen Timber do a similar thing. He only does it when he is very excited and the cage door is closed.
  21. Ritual is a good word for it. All I could think of is that Timber seems a bit OCD! Ritual fits better. He is very much a creature of habit, and once he knows a routine, he doesn't tolerate deviation from it very well.
