  1. I love tattoos as well, and so does my husband. We have a lot of major artwork on our bodies...even my right arm is in a full sleeve
  2. Thank you everyone! I agree with you Acappella, I noticed that as well. They definitely seem to be taking excellent care of him, and that means a lot to me. They breed A LOT of birds, so it makes me very happy they they pay such great attention to each individual baby. Their website is: http://www.fiveoaksaviary.com As you can see there, they have a lot of babies, but are such great breeders. I am very impressed, and I shopped around for a year to find the perfect breeder for me Yes, the wait is almost unbearable, but it will be well worth it!
  3. Congrats on making Roxie part of your family! I am sure the wait is almost unbearable...it is for me at least. She is one pretty little girl:)
  4. Hahahaha! Oh man, I loved reading that story. I was laughing my butt off, and my kids are looking at me like I am crazy!
  5. LOL! Loved this video, thank you for sharing!
  6. This made me cry too, but thank you for sharing it. I will be showing it to my husband as well.
  7. I will call you Oblivion. Love the Elder Scrolls games...not sure if that is why you have your name, but it works for me. Just wanted to say welcome to you!
  8. Artoo, welcome to you! Congrats on the journey to your first baby Grey! Are you getting your baby locally? I am also waiting on a baby right now, and it will more than likely be another month or so. He will be getting shipped to me though. We love baby pics around here, so if you get time....*hint hint nudge nudge*
  9. Hey everyone! So here is my latest update on my baby, Grimm. This is from the breeder, and sent to my email: "They are having so much fun playing and we enjoy playing with them. Your baby loves to fly and is pretty good at it. He also is getting really good at landing, too. He is really doing great and wants to be out and about all the time. He will be going down to 3 feedings a day soon; as he is eating less and less at each feeding. One thing for certain; he loves sweet potatoes. Not the canned; but fresh baked or microwaved. You don't want it cooked as soft as you or I would eat them; but close. It is one of the first foods he goes for when we add them to the soft foods sometimes"! So, it sounds like he is doing great, and here are his 11 week pics!!
  10. So sorry to hear about your baby, but so nice to see a concerned parront. Sounds to me like you have his best interest in mind, and you are doing everything you can to help him. I hope this behavior improves for you guys. I gotta say though, he is a cute little man Be sure to ask as many questions you can think of to your vet. Try to leave there with confidence. I know this is a very trying time, but we are here for you for support if you need us
  11. Woot Woot !!! Babies are so cute. They look like tiny dinosaurs Congrats!
  12. Oh, and the jealousy sets in LOL! Hattie sure is a cutie! How old is she?
  13. Nope, not yet. He is still on 3 feedings a day. The way I see it is, he will be healthy, and well adjusted when he comes home to mommy He is getting really big though. I got some new pics, just have not posted them just yet. I will try and do that tonight. My kids have friends over for a sleep over, so my house if just full of estrogen tonight LOL! 6 girls will do that though.
  14. Just wanted to say welcome back, and I hope you recover from the holiday season quickly. I know how draining it can be
  15. Hello, and welcome! Congrats on your beginning adventure of finding the right Grey for you
  16. Hello, and welcome to the forums! We look forward to seeing pics of your baby when you get a chance!
  17. I agree, it is really a matter of preference for the bird. My Too has his grate in, along with my parrotlet, and my tiels. My other birds do not. Kiwi, my Quaker, is in a pretty large cage, and she does not like to walk across the grate, so I lay down newspaper, and change it out 2 times a day just to be safe.
  18. I loved that story. That is love right there!
  19. Agreed...Nutri-Berries are great treats, but only treats. I personally use RoudyBush organic Pellets. My vet recommends RoudyBush to parronts as well.
  20. Hahahaha! Well, good luck with that!
  21. Looking forward to hearing about how the visit goes. I have a good feeling about it! Let us know!
  22. I actually like the water bottles. They are definitely more clean, and I have had no issues. I clean my water bottles with an infant bottle brush, it is perfect. You can get them at any store in the baby department.
  23. Grimm will have to be shipped. It is going to be so weird. Never before have I went to pick up an animal of any kind from an airport. He is now almost 12 weeks old. My breeder will be clipping him as well, it is just their policy. I don't care either way about clipping...I think different things work for different people. I am hoping he will be home in the next month or so!

    Would You Rather

Ride a bike. I love to to do that Would you rather take the bus to work to save on gas, or pay the outrageous prices anyway, and take your own car?
  25. I would go with option 2. I have too many people that depend on me, and love me to try and be a hero. You are browsing craigslist. You come accross an ad for an African Grey. When you pull the ad up, you find out the bird is one year old, has plucked itself pretty badly, and although the cage is plenty big, there are no toys, and only one perch. They are not giving him away, they want cash, and a high amount...say around 1200. What do you do in this situation?
