  1. Your so lucky!!! good for you brother, they're all so precious.
  2. Thank Goodness they made it right for you Kingsnake, on another note, you got your whole team here waiting with you for your bundle of joy to come home.
  3. I feel like the mommy that'll spoon feed her baby, making funny faces and sounds, ~ I caught my self goofily saying "baaannnaaannnnaaa???? Aaaapplleee? ?? MMMmmmmm mmmm thats a delicious baaannnaannnaaaaa, what a yummmmy apppplllleee."
  4. Thanks Kingsnake, i sorta figured. My baby makes a lot of noise when Im not around, ill hear the Andy Griffiths theme song whistle, and when I get my camera to record it, Aristotle looks at me like "What daddy?" and I have to smile. If they can relate, I'd like a seasoned owner to tell me their experiences if possible, and I'll be so happy when she finally feels comfortable enough to "open the flood gates" and talk a bit. I actually want to hear her sing opera and oldies.
  5. Im definatly in a rush or anything, as I understand all greys are diffrent. Im very happy and enjoying our time together, but im just curious. I talk to her, sing songs, and whistle a lot, but we havent had our first conversation yet...
  6. Aristotle whistles and makes diffrent sounds when Im not around, only once in our relationship has she said "Goodbye", other than that shes mostly quiet. Shes whistled in her carrier on car trips, but a full blown vocalization of her vocabulary that the previous owner told me about, nothing.
  7. Is it normal for a new grey to only communicate when the human is out of sight?
  8. I see that MBS is real, and I am aware now of the pitfalls. Im glad my fellow flock member pointed this out to me. I thought it was a joke at first, but Im trying to read the forum as much as I can and came across this thread.
  9. Thank goodness Eva is a little glutton! So happy for you!
  10. Skittles inherited Aristotles old cage:
  11. Heres is Aristotles NEW cage: (I love it.)
  12. Thats a very nice cage for Eva!!!
  13. I think that is so smart of you to research the African names, *I really dig Shango (CHANGO) if it was a male*, theres so many beautiful exotic names in the Youruba religion, that if you were to research a bit, you'd find the perfect name. (Orula, Ochun, Yemaya, Oya, Eleggua, Obatala just to name a few) Congratulations on taking the plunge, and your definatly in the right place to learn. I made so many mistakes before finding Grey Forums, and now that Im here its great, everyone has been so nice and im sure that you'll see the harmony, and love it here also.
  14. Most of the time, I bring them in to watch TV in the morning, and when theres thunderstorms, or cold (under 60 degrees is rare here).
  15. Yes, Judy is right, both my fids are clipped. When the feathers get a little bit longer, well go to The Aviary to get her clipped a bit better. I also want to take them in to get the DNA test too.
  16. Such a pretty blueberry!
  17. Aristotle (A nod to the great philosipher)
  18. I think that if its right above the cage, wouldnt the poop land on the tray above the cage? If it doesnt have it, you could place seran wrap on the top of the cage for easy cleaning?
  19. He inherited Aristotles old cage.
