Funniest story yet of Ms. Diva. I couldn't not touch her today. After some time I gave in. I know I shouldb't have but geshhhh she so cute. Ok here how its goes . I open the cage door and I am talking to her I said Momma's pretty girl. Was petting her head and she comes out of the cage to the door and is sitting on the top of the door. Mind you if I speak to my husband or anyone one else that she see's she seems to hate it!!!! So , she is sitting there my husband comes through and she talking to me Diva Jumps on me my chest/shoulder area . I am thinking OMG OMG... I pet her say its ok baby its ok... and he making all this noises low sounds like talking but couldn't make it out.I told my husband pls go in the other room u are scaring her. He said that bird is a ************** hahaI think he is jealous hahaha... So he goes out and back on the cage i put her. I do somethings in the room and I go in and talk with him. So, I go down to cook dinner and she is up here calling for me. I am talking back to her from downstairs while cooking. By the way I did forget to say I locked her cage back or thought I did. So I dunno. Its been like 2 hrs and I go in to the bath room. I come out just in time to hear What that blank blank on the stair case. I hurry and the light is off my husband is jumping from step to step I said what are u doing He got the light on and guess what there sat Ms. Diva on the steps. He didn't see her cause of it being dark THANK GOD he didn't step on her. sorta scary i know... anyways...He said Teresa you better get that dang bird right now.lol....When he walked up the steps in the dark she Bit his foot hahahaha....I couldn't help but laugh... When i got to her she started talking up a storm. I couldn't get her to step up on my hand so I had to do something I scoped her up with both hands she was saying some many words like she was telling me something I dunno but it was cute. When i get to the top of the steps I just sat down in the floor talking with her and him. I said do u think she fell down the steps. He said I don't think so. I was trying to look at her to see if she was hurt in anyways seen to eye. So I sat her in the floor and i walked down like 3 steps to see if she would follow and her see come walking down the steps like a big girl. Our steps have carpet. I would go down one she would go down one. and we walked back up one at a time...lol... So my thinkin is since I ignored her while I was busy she was coming to me since I wasnt coming to her. How sweet! She has gave me alll sorts of loving since i picked her up she is no longer trying to breed me I dont think or spit on me. lol I LOVE HER... SHE OWNES ME INSTEAD OF ME OWNING HER.....LOL

Ok She is still at this again this morning with wanting me make love to me. I am just going to totally leave her alone today. No touching at all and Thanks for the comments about food I will just add an extra dish of food for her today. I think she is funny but can't continue this behavoir. If she sees me around someone else in the house she starting making all kinds fo noise today. lol Maybe she is saying thats my woman hahaha. Anyways, Will keep you updated. Thanks All.!!!

Going to cut her tails feathers off if she keeps trying to get me to touch them hahahaha jking of course. She is even spitting or something now if i touch her....Grrrrrrr I wanted her to like me but not this well hahaha

Ok, I can't touch her at all now...lol...licks me everytime and does the same thing. I just sorta letting her be for now. It cracks me up. But I don't laugh in front of her. I called the pervious owner again she said she has never been able to touch her like this or her act like she even liked anyone before...lol...I guess i am the choosen one! Great I have a bird trying Breed me. hahahahhahahahaha

What sorta of bird is the other bird on the shoulder?

Ok, It's 1:43 PM.. I had about a total of 3 hrs sleep...lol...Ms. Diva, Is Being a Diva let me tell ya. After, that long night lastnight she is being a sweetie pie today. I was sitting in the floor scooping out her tray that catchs all the yucky stuff. She comes down to the bottom of her cage. Looking around checking out what i am doing. I reach over to rub her head and she makes this funny noise and fluffs her faeathers all up. I rub her hand some more and she seems like she is really enjoying this. she starts doing some sorta of courting dance or something. I have my hand in the bottom of the cage and she puts her foot up on my hand and sorta squats down at my had I swear to you i am not lying she is panting like a dog. I thought she was hummm for better words " make love to my hand"...lol I am thinking to myself u dirty lil bird. Then she just steps off. So I cont. to clean and her she comes again. I rub her head again. She does her dance. This time she puts both feet on my hand. I am talking to her telling good girl diva and all this cause I am very excited about it. and she slowly starts walking up my arm and get on my shoulder and starts rubbing her face on my face. Ok now I am sorta scared she might bite my face off or something but I just take it with a smile. She then starts spreading her wings out in my face sorta flapping a little and this whole time she is doing this she is making a whining noise like a puppy. So fter about 2 mins she acts like she is getting a bit scared. So i put my arm over to the cage and off she goes. I right away call the lady who had her before and ask if she has ever had any of this with her up all night her sounding like a panting dog and whinning like a puppy.She starts laughing and said Yes I have heard the whining noise. and then panting. Because, she had some yorkie puppys that was in just a few days/ wks old and Diva kept her up all night whining like a puppy one night hahah she said she would get up and check the pups and the whining would stop as soon as she would go lay back down it would start again. She said she finally got up moved the puppies to a different part of the house so she wouldnt hear them and be able to sleep. and guess what Diva started whining again hahaha like the puppies. Anyways, she a funny bird I tell ya , I am thinking if she wants attention she is going to get it no matter what time of day or night. I hope i get to sleep tonight hahaha or i am sleeping outside.

Ok...I need help. Ms. Diva thinks she needs to keep me awake all night tonight yelling screaming whisling. She has food and water and its not cold in here. I even tried sleeping in the room with her. But she needs to let her momma sleep as long as i am wake talking to her she is fine. I have tried to play music for her. I have turned lights on and off.*CRY* what do i do?

Ok so I will get rid of the corn cob bedding thanks. I will do what ever I can to make sure is she taking care of the best way.

I clean the Corn Cob everytime i see poop in there i have a litter scoop i get it out with. Ok Ms. Diva has finally found her way out of the cage and she is loving it she hasnt been out of that cage in years so I have been told she is actually sitting on her door top. I have pics i am so proud of my lil girl. i am going to put on my profile if i can remember how do it .. cause i dont know at all how to add it to my post here....

Tonights update haha... Ms Diva keeps saying Onik Onik thinking she is calling me a pig haha thats not very nice is it... however i am not sure thats what she is saying or doing yet. but i did leave her cage door open about all day she didnt come out but she did start something new today she got in the botton of her cage and puts her head in the concer and start racking her feet across the bars on the bottom. Do you think she is trying to scrath on the bottom tray where the seeds and her potty mess goes i have cob bedding down there to catch the mess. sorta reminds me of a chicken scratching on the ground. I hope this is a normal thing! cause if not i have one funny bird and she will whistle and talk away while doing this...lol to funny.

New update on Ms. Diva. She is eating her food fine now. She is talking so much more I think for the past 2 days has been on storm of words coming from her. Maybe because, she wasnt talking much. I got my 1st bite from her night before last. Scared me!!! It wasn't to bad no broke bones or bleed not even a mark at all. She was letting me pet her head and just in a second she had my finger in her mouth. I said No Diva you dont bite me. I didnt really jerk my hand back in fear of scary her. I sorta pulled my finger out of her mouth. I am sure if it was hurting i would have pulled back a lot faster however since it was really nothing i was fine. I think for the short amount of time I have had her we have come a long ways togather her and I . She still just cracks me up something terrible like when the phone rings she says hello but it sounds more like a male voice. her other words sound more female. Funny isn't it. Well, thanks all that has been reading about Diva and I. I will post more later.

I just wanta say I am with you. I have had Ms. Diva for 4 days now and I think she has me wrapped around her finger already. ok her toe?...haha anyways i love reading all of these post on her and the postive things everyone is saying about Grey's Diva and I have a long road ahead of us I know this but she is keeping a smile on my face and I think i am keeping one on hers. She just cracks me up. Best of luck with ur Tui btw love the name. and take care I will talk with you anytime u wanta talk about Grey's hehe cause i am learning as we go here.

Ok Update with Ms. Diva and I. She is the funniest thing ever. I just love her so much already. I was doing some house cleaning today down stairs and I heard her just talking away up here. Whistling and making all kinda of funny noises haha...anyways I come up after some time to change my clothes when i walk past her cage i said hello Ms Diva i get a whistle like i have been getting. I go in to my bedroom and get my clothes and I hear in a faint voice that says Diva whatcha doin? Diva Whatcha doin?... Whatcha doin?... I am in my room laughing to myself. I walk slowly out of the room and look at her and she says Hi Diva.... *clickclick* noise. I sat in the chair i have her beside her and talk with her and all i could get her to do was make some noise that sounded like a squeeky door opening. So I go back down stairs and I hear Bull**** Diva like 3 times again. I was like you silly bird. She so crazy funny already and this is just day 4 with her being her. I wish I could just give her a bigggggggg kisssssssssss lol one day i hope ...ohhhhhhhhhhh and I got to touch her several times to do give her a good head scrathing lol....

Ok so I have been gone about all day. While late after noon and evening. Just returning home to find Diva seems excited to see me as I was to see her. I walk over to the cage and Say Hi Diva How are you?... and she replies with Bull****. I guess she is not happy that I had to be gone for a while today. SOOOO just finding out my Diva is a bad word talker. Is there a way of trying not to get her to say theses words? Only BAD word I have heard her say. But I am betting there are more in her little mind that I haven't heard just yet. In my responsed to her was Oh you bad bird... and with a laugh i will add. Anyways she let me scrath her head again i open the cage door and she come right to it and i got to touch her some more. then with a second she was done...lol am i pushing to much?

Well, I will be sure not to do that then. Thanks. I dont want to punish her I feel that she has been punished fair way to much already for for having her home relocated. Poor baby..I feel bad for her as it is. She been eating pretty good so far today I have been watching her very closely. I think that the food i got is different from what she was eating so i am on my way back to the store as i just spoke with the person who had her before and she said that it was. PetSmart here I come!!!!!!!!!!LoL.... Thanks all for the great advice....WIll keep you posted!

Thanks, All for the advice. Diva is a bit on the scared side. However, I spend a few mins at a time at her cage sitting and talking to her. I have been able to scracth the top of her head several times now. That was something new she started lastnight. I was so excited. the old saying " like a kid in a candy store". I did notice she is ate a little this morning so maybe her tummy is saying feed me now. The person who had her before me told me to remove her food from her cage and put in back in the morning and she should be pretty hungry. Well , I did that and that was 2 days ago now and she didnt eat yesterday. But she has ate some this morning... and this morning she is also making a noise like a "pig" hahaha she so funny already

Thanks, I haven't really tried to touch her. I do sit at her cage and talk to her offer her the dried fruit she will take it out of my hand. I actually just went over there and she put her head up the cage and moved it down like she wanted me to scracth the top of her head. So I did twice she didnt offer to bite me. I just said Goodnight and walked away.

Hi, everyone I am very new to the Grey world. I just got Diva yesterday. She was passed to me by a friend. She is a talker. However, she hasn't said but 1 word since I have have brought her home. I am thinking it's because, she has to get used to the new place. Understandable right! She is a biter!!!! I am going to be honest and say that I don't know much about Greys I have done a lot of reading on them. Also, on training tips. She hasn't ate much since I have brought her home either. Is this something I should be worried about or would it also be because of the move for her. I have been giving her "her" time. I talk to her mess in her cage a bit and I have handed her dried fruit for treats. If anyone has any advice for me please I am open for anything. She is around 9-10 yrs old. My understand is that she once was pretty tame and would get on your hand. But with the person that had her she ended up not have time for her and with a new baby she didnt do much other then feed and water her. That is one of the reason why I ended up with her because, the baby was poking fingers in the cage and well she bit the lil one so Ms. Diva had to find a new home. Which I am very happy to have her. Even if i can't get her tame back down she will have a nice home here.
