Woot Sully! Merlin was around the same age, and he said Hello & Peek-A-Boo for months afterwards....then he really started talking. I stopped counting several years ago at over 200 words. I'm sure Sully will be Beatboxing with you soon too It's very cute when they try!

I can see it not being harmful as long as your fid isn't digesting it. If your grey starts actually eating the stand, I'd go natural wood instead.

When I used to run, I'd get home and take Merlin out. He would always start licking my knees Silly grey!

Ha ha Some days we live with "The Machine that goes Ping" and Star Wars. You get used to it. He should settle down - don't respond to the screams - he needs to mourn in his own way, and paying attention when he does will just encourage the behaviour For example, when Husband first met Merlin, he'd get to my place before I got off work (we were long distance dating), and Merlin taught him to come over by screaming...then Husband was taught by me to ignore him, just say a quick Hi when he came in, and be busy until Merlin stopped screaming - it worked after a few days for him, and we were back living in harmony instead of Merlin incessantly screaming for Husband to pay attention to him!

Welcome! You definitely can't top a grey But each does have its own personality and quirks. We lucked out in the grey department with Merlin, but I also put a lot of hard work and effort the first year to ensure he was properly socialized with different people and situations. Have you met some non-baby greys before? I would definitely recommend that first, as the babies will definitely win you over

Welcome Shasta! I do agree to wait the quarantine period & until all his vet checks come back clear. I boarded with a friend once who also had a grey, and they basically talked back & forth all day once Dakota was used to Merlin being in the household. Unfortunately my friend's grey wasn't very social, so they didn't play beaks on with each other, but could be out at the same time. Good luck with the intros!
