1. {Feel-good-0002006E}No, Jay sprung her out with a pardon for good behavior...{Feel-good-00020069} Maggie
2. A funny thing happened on the way back to Salsa's cage yesterday.....All our fids had gotten a rare treat, blackberries....something they don't get too often (worth their price in gold around here). I had just finished up with all the cages and I turned around to find Salsa in Joey's cage, sneaking his blackberries! When I confronted her, she gave me that innocent "who me?" look. I had to take some physical evidence of the crime....{Feel-good-0002006E} Maggie]
3. B) Spock here, I was never that small and never messed my beaker or handsome chest feathers when I was that age!!! 4. Spock here, great advice from all, Judy and her juice is right, try it. My own preference is to feed formula until your baby stops on there own, we as grey need a higher amount of protein and good fat then some other parrots do, I myself was feed "Zupreem Embrace-plus and Kaytee Macaw" formula which is higher in Proteins. fat and other good stuff we need.[Mmmm] Don't rush him, I didn't wean till after 16+ weeks, Has you baby fledged? What doe's he weight? Live Long and Prosper Spock;) Karma for seeking advice!!!

Post edited by: Spock, at: 2010/02/08 00:14

7. Spock here, The head cleaner's [ha-ha] here Maggie and Jay use "Organic Apple-Cider Vinegar" for food cleansing, washing and our water, and apple-cider vinegar for cleaning..40min is plenty for bean cooking.. Jay and Maggie say thank you... Live Long and Prosper.. Spock
8. {Feel-good-0002006E}Spock here...I am deeply touched and honored...such emotions are hard for me...I am sending my Vulcan Mind-Meld to you to let you know how I feel. With all these thoughts, I have to get well... Oh, and Jay and Maggie said thank you as they wipe the tears of laughter and happiness from their eyes.... Live Long and Prosper Spock
9. We'll. we were informed that our emotions could be hindering Spock, our tears and sadness could be effecting him and help keeping him stressed!!!Grey's are empathetical and absorb our emotions like a sponge...How do you keep from crying when you know he hurts? or when he comes to you and kisses you on the nose or won't eat? We're going to have to go into another room till our emotions pass...He's still asleep, I hope today is better...Jay and Maggie
10. Hello, Spock here; Wow! You all overwhelm me. All this emotion is very hard for me to swallow...Whatever they stick in my chest hurts but at least it is only once a day. Now they tell me I have to go back on Monday and have them poke and prod at me and they stick that thing up my x#@&%$#...they say it's for my own good, besides, she has cold hands. I get that last chest pick on Wednesday. Right now, I am always hungry and going to the bathroom a lot. A lot of times, I don't make it back to my poop station in time. They tell me this food has to stick to me...so I show them...I stick my beak in the warm mash, I shake my head and it "sticks" everywhere... hahaha...They told me to tell you, I started singing and talking after lunch...Got to go...hard-boiled eggs, yummy... Live Long and Prosper Spock
11. Hello, I haven't been feeling my best...I haven't even chewed the keyboard lately. I thank you for your prayers. I don't need a Vulcan Mind-Meld to feel your love and prayers. I think I will let Jay and Maggie talk for me until I feel better. (I will be telling them what I want to say) Live Long and Prosper Spock
12. Spock's 1 year old today....He had a Birdie muffin!!! Live long and prosper Spock... Jay and Maggie:)
13. B) Greetings! I thought it was time that I let everyone know how I was doing here at this household. It is quite comfortable here and I have gotten used to all the exotic cuisine they offer to me on a daily basis....I never thought I'd say this but I do like what they have to offer! I really liked those little red seeds they called "pomegranates"...they were quite tasty but now they are trying to pass off those larger purple balls they call "grapes". Who are they trying to fool? I know the difference and I don't appreciate it!!! Spock is like a little brother and a nuisance sometimes but I like to call him over anyway and ask him for a kiss. I even offer him a sympathy "AAAWWW!!" when he gets a time-out in his cage. Salsa (I think of her as that giant evil green chicken) goes into my cage and eats my seeds, my veggies and plays with my toys. I tolerate it for so long and then that's it...I chase her out. The big "White Guys" (Cockatoos) are loud and when they and Salsa start yelling, I have to stop them. I make clapping sounds and say "Bad Bird", "No Salsa" and "Shut Up!". After all, how can I meditate with all that going on? My favorite time of the day is bedtime...all the other birds have gone to bed and I get to sit on Jay's shoulder and eat salt-free pretzels with him.... Ahhhh, bliss.... Joey
14. Welcome Martin and Paddy to the Amazon Room and Grey Forums...Paddy sounds wonderful, and can't wait for photo's and videos, we all love them. My Salsa is a Orange-wing, and she also talks quietly when covered, she whispers "step-up" Thanks Jayd Karma
15. I just found this post. I've visited many bird groups on the Net and they all seemed to be about the owner and what the owner liked, and if you disagreed you were publicly told off... There was actually very little about birds and birds needs or the people that cared for the birds, Penny made this forum to share with each other. Most other group's are very cliquish. It's amazing how such a diversified group of people on the Grey Forum can co-exist so smoothly due to the efforts of the administration. I personally wish I had more hours in the day so I could post more in more rooms. I personally do not feel that Penny or anyone who makes the tough decisions here has done anything wrong. We cant forget that this is "our" forum. Thank you Penny and everyone involved for making the Grey Forum what is is today. Thank you, Jayd and Maggie (and Spock) No explanation needed!!!

Post edited by: Spock, at: 2010/01/24 04:40
16. Hi, Maggie here...Jay is having trouble logging in right now and they are working on the problem. He asked me to let you all know...He says FANTASTIC! Your posts are great...just what he was looking for. He says please keep them coming....as you all know you don't have to be an Amazon owner to join in the fun! Jay wants to extend a personal thanks to all those who have posted in the Amazon Room...
17. Keep a eye on droppings and eating habits.... Like Judy's right... Maggie
18. B) Spock here, There's 19 in my flock right now, only one that can't fly and that's because he was abused so bad! It's only logical that a bird flies...Type "clipped wings" into search for good pros and cons... Spock Live Long and Prosper
19. For all those with birds, you all know that it is very difficult to plan a vacation with these characters. This is due to the fact that when you have more than one bird, you can't leave them alone. They need hours of attention, not just someone stopping by and feeding them a couple times a day and it's really hard to pack them up and take them with you. But this year, we are finally going to take a vacation...with the birds! We found a spot, very inexpensive...palm trees, cement slab, locally available restroom and showers, gas grill, just a few hundred yards from a river with boating, swimming and fishing...pets welcome, restaurants and entertainment within 15 miles.:woohoo: Our biggest concern and worry is Spock and Joey. You know how neurotic Greys can be...the other 17 birds are no problem...they go with the flow... We have the vacation time arranged for the middle of April and we can't wait!!! The temperature will be warm at night and warm/hot during the day time. Come April, we're going to pitch a tent in our yard, roll/carry all the birds out to the patio, unfold the lounge chairs, put on the sunscreen and start the grill...B) Maggie
20. Big Congratulations!!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Spock, Maggie and Jay
21. Welcome, My suns preen me real good.. Spock Live Long and Prosper
22. B) HA HA, peanuts, I steal them when ever I can  , the boss don't keep any with shells around,[darn] but each morning they give me organic PB they get at almost any store with palm oil, [Logical] lets see S K I P P Y natural, yea....umm good in smash....:side: Spock Live Long and Prosper
23. Tango is talking away but I'm not sure what he is saying.... At the end, he is humming away to his favorite song while I sing to him...Maggie
24. Salsa, you think you rule...I still rule the roost!! The first thing you say when you get up in the morning is "feed me". I say "Hello, good morning". I contemplate the universe, you contemplate eating and playing...Every time I look around, you are sneaking into one of the cages to sneak veggies and fruit until I squawk at you. Even Joey tells you "Salsa, NO, BAD!" OOOOOOHHHHH!...all right, I'm proud of you. It's not logical, getting this emotional... Live Long and Prosper.... Spock
25. {Feel-good-000200BB}This is great! Isn't it nice to be able to go to one place and get needed and pertinent information. Keep it coming! Maggie Karma to you...

Post edited by: Spock, at: 2010/01/07 23:41
