I live in West Virginia and I have 3 Fig trees. I love them! I guess I'll have to start sharing them with Rebel.

I think an egg would be a definate indicator!!

The day I brought Rebel home with me her cage was stuffed in the back of my SUV (filling it completely) there was little room for anything else. I had no idea that I would need something to transport her in. I guess I assumed there would be a travel cage included. NOT. I rode home with a bird that I didn't know at all and my daughter who was afraid to even hold her. She was mostly on my arm looking out the window, but there was some of the trip where she sat on my shoulder. I have learned ALOT since that trip. The momments that she was on my shoulder, she would sneak down and try to bite the buttons on my shirt, so I gently shooed her back up to my shoulder and said noooo. Well, she cocked her little head and looked up and me and her very first word to me was......."STUPID" My daughter busted out laughing and said "that bird just called you stupid" I also got on my daughter for "smacking" her gum. I HATE THAT. She informed me that she got rid of her gum along time ago. Rebel was the one making the gum popping noise. Gotta Love a Grey!!! She now has a little cage that I transport her in. She can still look out the window and enjoy her ride or sit in the yard with me.

What should I do? I took her play box out, which is where she started nesting on her toys. Then I came home the other night and realized she was nippy at me when I cleaned her cage because there were 2 eggs in it. I cleaned it all out and gave her a few loose foot toys to play with. Now I come home today and there is an other egg, broken on the bottem of her cage. I didn't think she'd lay them without a nesty type place to put them. ???????

She, That was my concern also. I'm not gonna pretend to know the single bird egg laying process. But if she thinks she needs eggs, and has her toys to make her feel better than maybe she won't lay her own. My thinking was that if I take her toys away, she'll feel the need for an egg and actually lay one........ Can someone have "THE TALK" with me Please?? Why do birds lay eggs when they have no mate?? ok, right now I feel like a very stupid bird Mommy and I'm heading to Google..... Aly~

Thanks a bunch!! I feel much better now. I'll put all of her toys back where I find them at cleaning time. I keep learning new things about these creatures, it's amazing how much there is to learn!! As to her age, I adopted her in August of this year and was told that she was 2. Aly~

Rebel loves to shred cardboard, so I give her Paper Box lids to knock around and shred up. I also give her the paper from the shredder inside her box where I hide all of her little foot toys and some treats. She loves to kick around in the box digging through the shredded paper to find her toys and goodies. Well, for the past week or so, I've noticed that she is more or less sleeping in the box. I thought maybe she was cold and staying warm in the paper shreds, but the temp in the room is between 69 and 71 day and night, no sudden changes in the temp. She's not sick, as soon as I go in the bird room, she fluffs up and dashes up the cage for her almond and morning conversation. So here's the question...... I noticed the other day, that when she got up to scamper up the cage, that she takes a minute to look behind her before she greets me up topside. ALL of her little foot toys are in a pile and she's nesting on them!! Should I take them out? Is it normal for her to do this?? She has little golf wiffle balls, baby blocks and large dice that she sits on. Any ideas?? Thanks, Aly~

A postage stamp There were two ducks in front of a duck and two ducks behind a duck, and one duck in the middle. How many ducks were there in total?

In marbled halls as white as milk Lined in a skin as soft as silk In a liquid, crystal clear A golden apple doth appear There are no doors to this stronghold Yet thieves break in to steal the gold What am I?

Have a go at this one..... Small I am, yet, when entire, I've force to set the world on fire. Take off a letter, and 'tis clear My paunch will hold a herd of deer Dismiss another, and you'll find I once contained all humankind.

Study this paragraph and all things in it. What is vitally wrong with it? Actually, nothing in it is wrong, but you must admit that it is most unusual. Don't just zip through it quickly, but study it scrupulously. With luck you should spot what is so particular about it and all words found in it. Can you say what it is? Tax your brains and try again. Don't miss a word or a symbol. It isn't all that difficult?

I know what you mean! I love ice too. We have no where to get ice at work, so I bring my own from home. Is he still complaining about his thumb?? Poor baby!! and my ice tea today was brilliant!!

Here's the issue with Aussie. My bird room was at first the kitty room. I had the room so the door could be kept close. I installed a kitty door so when Aussie decided he wanted to chase a cat, they had a safe escape and could run through the kitty door and sit back and laugh when the giant German Shepherd crashed into the door because he slides to a stop on the wood floor. Lots of THUDS down that hallway. But it was the kitty safe haven. That being said, the kitty boxes are in there. Well, when Rebel came home it became a shared room. Now I never close that door because I don't want Rebel locked up in a closed room. Aussie however has taken to helping me clean...(the litter box)... and it's really gross!! Now I have a slider type set up so it's open completely at the top and at the side enough for the cats to get in there. I don't have anywhere else to put the litter boxes where Aussie can't get to them. If Rebel really misses the Dog, I guess I'll just have to brush Aussie's teeth every night!! Rebel does love feeding him her leftovers and stuff she doesn't like. Aussie keeps the bird seed and pellet pretty well cleaned up too!! I love my zoo!!! Aly~

Do you clean them with anything to make sure there are no buggies?? I kinda think she misses feeding the dog her leftovers! Aly~

Her vet check was good, nothing is wrong with her. I give her lots of things to play with. Her favorite right now is adding maching tape. She did run out of that the other day and I haven't replaced it yet, but I didn't plan to give it to her all the time. She gets box tops and all of the shredded paper from work goes home with me for her. I fill the paper box tops with it and she dives in. I soaked her in aloe juice last night (she wasn't very happy about that). Where can I get bird safe pine cones from? That sounds like something she would enjoy. Aly~

Her feathers were growing in so nicely and now she's plucking at them again. The only thing that I have changed is that I've blocked the door so the dog can't get in that room. Can she possible miss the company of the dog? Do I need to let Aussie have access to that room again? This zoo of mine is gonna kill me yet!!! Aly~

They are trying to get you to e-mail them privately. Just be careful, once they get your e-mail they do devious nasty things with it!!
