1. Hi William and welcome aboard... from one newbie to another! :silly:
2. I'm rather new here - but that's a great tribute! Well done! :side:
3. Very sweet. Looks like they are in a nice BIG aviary too!
4. Toebie is also my first CAG and I can't get over how active and agile they are! He loves all his toys and isn't timid about them or his new home. Within a few days he was going upside down and hanging on by just his beak  (be still my heart!) and he's just learned 2 days ago how to climb down his little quarantine cage and go back in when he wants to eat/drink! What a milestone! I can't wait to move him into his BIG permanent cage at the end of August (end of quarantine)!! Here's a few pics of 19 week old Toebie -

Post edited by: MsGardeness, at: 2009/08/09 14:54
5. That's a most adoreable baby pic! Do share your thoughts of names you are considering, or chosen already!
6. Welcome CatSnack and Abby! I'm new here too and everyone has made me feel very welcome. I have one new Grey and have had 3 other parrots for 2-1/2 years now. I agree with the others - lots of patience will definitely work wonders with Abby and as Judygram said, yes you can definitely change her name to something more suitable for you. Again, welcome! Love to see pics!
7. Here is Toebie (named for his white toe/nail) and Liz (that's me)!!! We are new partners as of 8 days ago!

Post edited by: MsGardeness, at: 2009/08/08 01:28
8. Nice that Dayo can get around from place to place... errr I mean cage to counter-top to play-top, on his own. Love that he can turn the water on/off!! :silly:
9. Okay - thanks a bunch (I keep saying that) but thanks. I'll hold off on the signature for a while. I guess I'd better post pics soon. I will, I will as soon as I get 5 minutes!
10. That sounds so cool. I haven't seen that in my Toebie but I only got him a week ago. Toebie is 19 weeks old. Gismo sounds adoreable. Congratulations!
11. Thanks! I found where to create my 'signature' but all the fields have a big red "X" beside them saying they will not be viewable. I did try to set one up anyway but nope - it disappeared. Oh well, maybe I need to have a certain number of posts before I can make a signature - I'll try again in a week or after some more postings.

Post edited by: MsGardeness, at: 2009/08/07 20:19
12. Thank you all for the warm welcomes! A special HI to lovethatgrey - nice to see you here too!! :silly: I'll have to start browsing the various forums and see what's going on to get acquainted with this site and check out how to set up a 'signature line'! Sure wish I could stay home all day with my fids... but somebody has to work to support them!
13. Thanks - quick replies too! I will post pics of all my parrots tomorrow. I have 2 Pionus (1 Bronze Wing and 1 Maximillian) and 1 Eclectus (all females). So Toebie (yep spelled for his unique toe!) is the only male parrot and he is a Congo. Yes I do breed a variety of exotic and rare finches. Thanks again - seems like a friendly forum! Hope to get to know you all better over the next 50 years or so!
14. Hi everyone!! I am still getting used to my new Grey baby who is 18 weeks old. I brought him home 5 days ago and am amazed by him everyday. I just weighed him tonight (I know - wrong time of day but I just remembered - LOL) and he weighs 505g. I was wondering roughly when they will be considered at their "typical weight" and "fully grown". I've name this fella "TOEBIE" as he has one white toe and toenail! He's the love of my life along with my other 3 parrots and about 95 finches. {Love-0002006C} Yeah you could say I'm a little nuts about birds.
