My baby hatched on April 18th and has been pulled from the next box yesterday.

I just got word that my baby has been pulled from the nest box. She/He is eating well and doing great. I still have no pictures I hope to get some soon! I am told that she is very cute :cheer: I can hardly wait!!!

Hi, I am in Melbourne. I am still waiting for my CAG. She is now 3 weeks old. I bought her from a family friend/breeder in Upstate NY. I can hardly wait to go get her. It seems like it is forever away!

I have used the plastic containers that strawberries and other berries have come in. They have slits on the bottom and drain water well.

no I don't know the sex and we are tossing names around. It hard to name a bird we dont know.

I know my baby will not be coming home until late June or early July. HOWEVER, me being me and wanting to be as prepared as possible I have a few questions. 1. To cover or not to cover the cage at night. My sun conure likes to be covered (after of course I play his music box) but my yellow nape goes ballistic if I cover. My Tiel could care less. 2. How many hours do they sleep? 3. perch size? 4. when to give first bath/shower? I am sure I will have more questions.......

My dog Saydie loves to eat what the birds eat. She will now eat carrots and other assorted fruits and veges if she thinks i am putting them in the birds bowls. She will stand by and wait for things to drop from the cage and I think she has sonic hearing cause if she hears something drop to the floor, it isnt there long!

I used a branch much like yours but instead of a pot of plaster I bought a christmas tree stand when they were on sale last year. My Yellow nape and conure just love being on it. I have it on my screened porch. I have water bowls attached with a few toys and swings as well. I also made each a play gym out of PVC. I found the simple plans in a book I bought on amazon.com. I googled pvc play gym to find it.

My baby is in upstate NY and I am in Central Florida. So unfortunatly I will not be able to visit. The breeder is a family friend. My dad who also breeds Amazons is also there and will be the one who actually hand feeds my baby after about 4 weeks of age.

:cheer: I just got word today that my CAG has hatched! I am so excited and can hardly wait for the 12-14 weeks it will take for him/her to get here. It will be hand fed after 3 weeks. I have asked the breeder to cuddle with a towel and show it new things every day. I have also asked for it to be introduced to a harness and carrier when the time is right. I am experienced with birds. Not only am I a volunteer zoo keepers aid in the local Zoo Aviary, I have a flock of my own at home. I have a Sun conure, yellow nape amazon, and a cockatiel.
