It is their nature to eat this way. Expecting anything else is silly really. You can enslave her when she eats. She wont be happy and ultimately you wont be either. Get a little hand vac like i did. Makes for easy clean up. The shark vacs avail at walmart are inexpensive and do a real good job

Just a word of caution, you mention many dangers in your house for a grey. Remember that the clipping wont help much with those dangers. you must be attentive and always watching your grey when he is out. do not allow the grey next to the door or open windows. clipped birds can still fly and if they catch some wind they can be long gone.

She does manage to get her beak into everything. I turned on the cam and left the room. I think i have a bunch now. will upload when i get some time.

she will be two in nov. got her as a baby from a local breeder. She talks up a "storm" when i leave the room. but when im in the room with cam not so much.

I hope to one day really catch her. seems when i bring the camera out she goes mute.

Glad you got yours hopefully i will get mine tomorrow i ordered it one day after you. I got the aviator harness in like 3 days. its her second one i demolished the firstg one with my vacuum cleaner. Got her into the harness. i was a little pushy so hopefully she will let me put it on her again. she wasnt all that happy with it. but after about 10 or 15 mins she was okay. we went for a nice walk. hopefully we can do it again.

sounds like they are both great products and that flying south is understaff for the sales they made.and or supply issues. Either case its poor customer services.

cindy, same thing is happening to me. i ordered it one day after you did. got a email with a tracking number saying it was shipped! i to cannot find a phone number that scares me. i emailed them on the 17th and got a prompt response. "sorry. with the huge sale it's been hectic around here. please be patient while i'm shipping orders in the order they were placed. thanks." here was my reply to which i havent received a reply yet: I'm sorry but this is not an update. All i got from this email was that on 10 aug the item was shipped. And now i should be patient due to the huge sale. So your telling me the email was a mistake and i should expect another email from you telling me when it was shipped? I have no problems being patient and waiting because of the huge sale. Its to be expected because it was a great sale. What i cant tolerate is being told that the product shipped when indeed it hadnt been shipped or were you too busy to look it up? Has it been shipped or not? will i get another notification when it really ships? Honestly if i hadnt been told such great things about your product i wouldnt be hanging on. It unaccepable to told that it had shipped when indeed it hand not been. Could one of the recipients of this mail please pass this email on to the president? end of message if i dont hear anything in a few days i will contract my credit card company for a refund. playing mean with the toys is normal. this is a rehome. move slow. dont try to physically interact yet. give him time to get used to his new surroundings. this could take months. interact with him by talking and or reading to him

stick a perch on the outside of the cage, this should be accessible to the opening of the cage. sooner or later she will come out to investigate it and you can work on step up out of the cage.

not really sure how this became a clip or not clip thread. The vet clipped them to avert a plucking issue. The main question will she hold the grudge forever? No. just go slow. sitting by her cage and talking/reading to her. slowly build up trust again and you will be fine.

That does sound more likely. She has never plucked before. Good thougt dan. I always sleep in the other room and she is alone. I have never heard her thrash about. but your hypotesis is the best so far.

Yes keep giving them to him. When storm was a baby i got a chopper and diced everything up. This seemed to work for us

No i have never used a sleeping cage nor have i ever covered her. She goes to be when she wants for the most part. I train her to my schedule and that has worked out well for both of us. I'm with you on the clipping. Only reason i would consider it would be for her safety. She does seem to be getting better at it as she goes on.

That is awesome. I try hard to get storm to poo where she is spose to but she refuses. She will however in the act of doing it she says "dont poop there. Thats not where your supposed to poop".
