Welcome. I'm sure a grey would fit in perfectly. You are right to do your homework before getting one. I researched for nearly a year before Ollie and am still learning. Look forward to hearing about your future grey.

I bet you are sooooooooooo excitetd. I can feel the buzz from here and I'm in UK. I wish I was getting another baby as well, but will make do with stories and pics of your two.

Isn't it a bit like children. You really look forward to them talking and walking and spend the rest of their lives telling them to sit down and be quiet...lol. Joking aside though, you must be thrilled!

You are really tired. All you can think about the whole day long is getting home to take a nap. You get to your front door and can feel your eyes closing. You must get a nap as your best friend is taking you to a show tonight. You have waited to see this show for months and are really excited. Just as you drop into the chair and close your eyes the phone rings. You answer it and get ready to snooze again. Low and behold, the doorbell rings. You answer it and convince the man you don't need new windows. You are exhausted and finally fall asleep in the chair. You wake up and it is 10pm........oh no, youhave missed the show and will never see it as it's the last night. I wish it would stop raining!!

You arrive home from work. there on the table is the most beautiful lobster you ever saw. It has been cooked to perfection and the table set up with candles and flowers. Just as you are about to sit down and eat it, the door bell rings and you just know you have to answer it or you will not be able to relax. It turns out to be a neighbour who has vistors and wants to borrow some milk. You rush to the fridge with only one thought on your mind.........luscious lobster. As you are passing back past the kitchen window, you see next door's cat running across the lawn with something in his mouth...your heart races and you rush to the table. OH NO!!! you left the front door open and the cat is now dining on your beautiful lobster. I wish people would stop dropping litter in the street.

You could if you stopped corrupting everybody's dreams!!!!.......rofl One day you awake to find that your wish has been granted. You go downstairs and your feathered friend is laughing so much he falls off his perch. Your other half can't stop laughing and eventually there is a puddle all the way tothe bathroom...which you have to clear up!! You drive to your local market and the staff and customers are so busy laughing that they are not able to serve you, so you return home with no food. You put your favourite TV show on and guess what......they are all laughing....too happy to produce your show. You now go to bed with a terrible headache........not that good was it? I wish there was no football!!

Welcome Kathy and Ziggy! Ziggy sounds wonderful and I think you are going to have great fun together. My grey loves to dance too....he sings to himself when he does it. Well done too for taking in an older bird. Look forward to hearing more from you both.

After a really busy day, you head up stairs to your bed. You have been to a garden centre and been fantasising about having all the plants in a lovely rock garden instead of your boring lawn. You drift off to sleep and dream of your fantasy garden. Next morning, you wake feeling refreshed but are surprised at how dark it is in your room. You head downstairs and open the back door only to find that your wish has been granted big time......I mean BIG BIG BIG!! You have to get mountaineering equipment to climb to the top of your garden.........oh dear, not quite what you envisioned. I wish the apple blossom would stay on my tree longer.

That's easy. Ollie won't eat anything that is healthy. Saying that, I have just managed after five years to get him to eat pellets, but every day, I put in his veggie dish and he methodically drops every piece onto the floor!!! Bless his little cotton socks.

I haven't found any dishes that help, but what I do with Ollie is use a large baking sheet covered in cling film on the floor of his cage when I give him fresh food. Although he throws most of it out of his dish, it is caught on the tray and then I just lift the film and wrap all the discarded food. Keeps the bottom of the cage much cleaner. Hope that helps a little.

Ollie absolutely knows if we are intending to go out. He always says 'where you going', once we've answered he says 'OK....see you later. the other funny one that he put together himself is when we come down in the morning. He can see us through the kitchen window. He always says 'good morning' , but if we don't answer he'll get quite stroppy and say ' hello..I said good morning..peep po' It's almost like we're getting told off!!

I read this thread the other day, The contents caused me such dismay It seemed that birds living in the US, Were worthy of a spray to clean up their mess. Do UK birds not 'poop' the same, Manufacturers were obviously to blame, I went to bed, but could not sleep, So I came down stairs to have a peep. I lifted the cover to check the mess, I think UK poop is as good as the rest. 'To the makers I'll write' I said to myself, Do they not care about UK health! I went to the study to turn on Word.... This whole situation was quite absurd. It was three in the morning, to late to write, So I went up the stairs and turned in for the night. Next day I went to shop online.... Some pellets for Ollie, he likes the 'fine'. The surprise that I had made me splutter and cough.... Yes....you guessed it...I'D FOUND 'POOP OFF'
