1. Thank you, Dan for finding this website for us!!!! Karma to you, Professor!!!
2. Once again, congratulations!!!! Your quest is finally over with the best results. You are a great and loving person, thanks for being you!!!
3. Adhaincroi, bless your heart, you did it. You didn't give up. Your wonderful and kind heart will be rewarded a thousand fold. Perhaps you will find a grey of your own now???? You would make a wonderful grey mommy. Thank you for this update and this bittersweet ending. You are a member of the family now, please remain in touch!! Janet
4. Yes, I remember seeing this before and just loved it. It's a great story. Thanks for reminding me of it---maybe I can teach Ana Grey our address!!
5. Hey Joe, you and Joey are on a roll. Good going!!! So very good for each other. Congratulations!!!
6. So glad it clicked for you Jacqueline!! And daveyj, so happy we made your day!!!!
7. My grey does not fly and can get from the floor to inside/on top of her cage without problems. I have a seed catcher attached. So that won't help. She just climbs up or gets to the top of a chair and glides in. They are so inventive!!!
8. ranaz, what a great stand. Great work ranaz!!!
9. Glad to hear Fred is settling in so nicely. Would love to see and hear your video. congratulations.
10. Joe, you are right he so wants to trust you and believe in you but is still afraid to believe it. I think you have the right knack. Whatever you are doing is right. Just follow your gut-feeling. It seems to be right. Joey is a very lucky guy. Don't break his trust and you and he will grow together. You are good for each other! Good Job!!
11. Vicki, I would put your baby's cage where it will be permanently. He needs to feel at home and secure. If the living room is where he will be normally, that is where he should be.
12. How I love to see the babies and watch them turn into beautiful greys!!!!
13. Hey thanks for sharing Gizmo's video. He sure is a Romero with all his love talk. I love his chicken and the way he changes his voice. Great video!!!
14. Wow ajlinva some play tree. I really like it!!! Thanks for sharing it with us!!!
15. The Perfect Storm - George Clooney
16. He will call you back if you ask but he said he is very busy and people should just send a $36 check with mailing information, name and address. He says he will pick and mail the same day. True to his word I mailed my check from Washington State on Friday and on the next Friday received my palm nuts from Florida. He just said wash, dry and freeze. I did not add anything extra to the palm nuts.
17. On my cage the lip is on the underside away from the cage, the outside. The skirt is attached to the cage frame above my pull out grate and bottom tray. Bottom side of skirt: clip which holds catcher to cage frame: shot to show relationship to grate and skirt: look at skirt attached: Hope this helps if your cage is like mine anyway.
18. I am so very sorry to hear about Lacey. Know that your little sweetheart is now flying free at last. God Bless.
19. The parts that the screws go in are on the underside of the pieces. One long piece goes in front, smooth side up and one shorter piece on the side smooth side up. Line up the holes on the underside and put in the bolts and attach with the nuts. You should have an angle. Then attach the other long side on the end of the short piece in the same way. The fourth piece of course should then be attached to the remainder side. The four pieces should make a rectangle not a square. You should have two different sizes (2 each) with your seed catcher parts. I hope I helped. Good luck.
20. Did I do that--Post twice!!!!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/03/05 19:54
21. Okay guys, I went and ordered palm nuts from Richard Sawyer. Very nice guy. They are $36 with shipping for a 7 lb box. Richard says send a check for $36 to his P.O. Box number and as soon as he gets the check he will pick and mail same day. Richard said, when you get them you should wash, dry and freeze what you don't use. Palm nuts apparently grow all year (he is in Florida). Ana Grey has tried some and so have I, they are tasty though they are a bit stringy for me!!!!! Pictures attached!!! Box received: Inside box: After washing: Packaging: Freezing: This is my freezing method, others probably have their own methods. I am no freezing guru!!! I haven't defrosted or given Ana Grey any frozen ones yet!!
22. Congratulations on Oscar's first word. It won't be long now until he will be talking away!!!! Happy Hatchday to Oscar at the end of the month!!
23. Eve, in my opinion, you should do has your Avian Vet says. That is why you took her in for a checkup. If I didn't trust a particular vet or didn't agree with a result then I would go and get a second opinion, otherwise I would do as the vet recommends. Only you can decide.
24. I have placed Ana Grey's toys and play things around her cage. Her cargo net, her ladder and chew toys. There is nothing around her cage that she can't safely chew on or put in her beak. Anything just for "looks" in my opinion would be just for you. If greys can't play with it, chew it or eat it I don't believe they really care about it.
