I have an 9 month old female Timneh African Grey and a male Eclectus who is at least 10 years old. Ana Grey is quiet and easy coming not getting upset about anything. Sully is a quiet guy who is still getting use to his new home. Ana Grey would love to interact with Sully. I'm hoping Sully once he has settled in will tolerate sweet Ana Grey.
Ha, ha, ha on you rbpittman!!!! "Fooled me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me"!!!! You better be careful or Dixie will be putting you to bed at night! Great story, made my day!!!!
How exciting Caitlin, you have a very smart little grey there!!!! I love all the pictures, especially the one where Ecko is flying!!!! You must be so very proud of your sweet grey!!!
Nancy that's great you can visit your baby. Can't wait until you can take some pictures to share with us!!! Have you picked out a cage and started gathering parrot goodies yet? That was great fun when I did it for my grey and made the time go a little faster.
What a sweet follow up on Gizmo, Pat. You are gaining his trust slowly but surely!!!! Your post brings tears to my eyes because it gives me such hope for a loving relationship with my Sully. Gizmo looks better all the time, he is a handsome guy. You should be very proud!!!!
Thanks for the update on Partner. Sounds like he is adjusting very well to his new forever home! Congratulations on the great job you are doing with this sweet grey!! He is very handsome!!!
Thank you Pat for your encouragement and great advice on helping Sully. He stepped up for me to come out of his cage this morning. Last night he keep saying what sounded like "Hi Ya." So now we have a laser sound, a "Huh" and a "Hi Ya," I think. He sitting on a playstand by my computer right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he will re-grown his feathers back!!
Well if you are asking for opinions . . . if you have the money, time and energy, I'm for you adopting an older grey! Only you know your limitations. What do you want to do is the better question!!!
Thanks Erika for the suggestions and insight on the eclectus. I spray Sully with Aloe Vera every day so I don't know whether he would use his water dish to bathe in. He is a very nice and tidy bird. I don't use my vaccuum as I have all wood floors and sweep and dust mop them. I will see about a swing though. Thanks for the heads up!!

Hi Medic, I love your Avatar. Congratulations on finding the grey for you!!! Are you close enough to your baby to be able to visit? If you get any pictures of your little darling, we would love to see them. Welcome to the family!!!!
Hi Nancy. Congratulations on your baby's hatching! Are you close enough that you will be able to visit? If you have a chance to get some pictures, we would love to see them. Welcome to the family!!!!
Thanks Jen, I do so want to give him a great life. He doesn't really want to come out of his cage though I leave it open. When he does come out he wants to sit on my shoulder so I let him, just a little. I wish I had more experience with an older bird, but I'm trying and learning.
Cindy, I would just smile and go on with my day. This person isn't worth a second glance. Just be grateful you don't have her as a manager anymore. You know what she is saying isn't true, so why bother.
