1. Wow, I'm going to have to give my fids a treat or something. They are not food throwers or dish throwers. They both do love throwing their blocks or plastic golf balls off the tops of their playtops for me to retrieve and I thought that was naughty! Thanks for the great visions and laughs!!!
2. My grey is 11 month's old and loves to chew on wood. Does Gizmo have any wooden toys? Please tell us more about Gizmo. How old is he and how long have you had your companion? Without more information on Gizmo and your relationship it is hard to make any suggestions. We have a Welcome/Introduction Room you should visit. I don't think we have had a chance to properly welcome you to the forum.
3. Nasty thing stomach flu, I hope you are feeling better soon, Pat. Your fids will be more thrilled when they know mommy is better. They can then enjoy their new ATOM with you. Take care!
4. Hi Roland, I would definitely put Pinky in a new cage more appropriate for medium-sized parrots as soon as possible. He will most certainly be more comfortable. He does look like a fine looking CAG. I can't wait to hear more about him and see him in his new home. Welcome to the grey family!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/07/09 21:10
5. Congratulations on Beau's first word!!!! I remember how excited I was when Ana Grey first spoke. Now the fun begins!!!!!
6. Well Debbie congratulations on your new Timneh! Can't wait to see some pictures.!
7. In your place I would probably keep my kids home for a couple/few days, to keep a close eye on them for symptoms. I would call the school and get a couple/few days of homework so they would not fall behind. And when my kids returned to school remind them on how important it is to keep their hands clean, not to share foods and to stay away from any one coughing, sneezing, etc.
8. Caroline, take a deep breath and see where Tully would fit into your home. How it would be for your three boys and would everyone benefit from the addition of Tully. Only you can decide. It is always harder to say no than yes but you must see the whole picture before you decide what is best for everyone. Take the time to analyze it all before you decide.
9. Hi Loukas, congratulations on your new baby. From your Avatar it is easy to see that Apollo is a very fine looking grey. From what I can read through your posts you sound like a very observant and caring parront. Can't wait to see some more pictures of Apollo and hear more about him!
10. Very funny Bernie!!!! You should make a fortunate on this class if men were truly honest!!!
11. Glad to hear that Jacko is enjoying his cage-free nights. All greys are different and we all know our own greys best. You are lucky that Jacko is so well behaved and reliable. My Ana Grey is very independent and I wouldn't trust her for a minute! I am so happy Jacko is plucking less! Please keep us posted on Jacko's progress!

18. It is 74.3 F in southern Washington State. It is a little overcast with a nice cool breeze.
19. My Ana Grey has her own schedule. I am retired so she is out all day. Come around 8:30/9:00 pm she will on her own go to her cage have a snack and get on her sleeping perch. Because my Eclectus also goes to his cage at night around the same time he will start making his honking sound to let me know it is time to turn off the lights. They have free range of the house but they prefer to sleep in their cages. Frankly I feel so much better because they are safely tucked in at night. I'm not brave enough to trust that they will be good on their own.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/07/07 21:01
