1. Great pictures of your grey POD! Thanks for sharing!!!
2. Larry, congratulations on your new grey. Can't wait to hear how things are going and what you have named your new companion.
3. All greys are different, my Ana Grey is quiet usually but very vocal about three times a day. She hangs upside down by one foot occasional and wolf whistles in several different ways daily. She says about three things I can easily understand and mumbles different things I can't yet. She is independent and fearless. She is not afraid of new things and especially enjoys new toys and perches. I wouldn't trade her for any other bird. I fear for the day she becomes flighted and spots an open door for she will take flight at the first opportunity. She is so curious and she practices her crow mimics daily!!!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/07/26 18:16
4. Ahhhhh, Professor you have a loving and loyal wife to back you up about the source of Dayo's colorful language. We all know the devil made him do it!!!!
5. On line DrsFosterSmith.com and PetSolutions.com sell Kaytee brands. Drs. Foster & Smith also sell dried fruits and vegetables. My grey doesn't particular like wet foods so I also provide dried fruits and vegetable for her.

9. I would call the police department/sheriff's office and see if they can tell you who to call. This is just too bizarre to wrap my mind around. I hope you are able to find the appropriate authorities to where this should be reported.
10. Ralph, I am truly computer illiterate so I can't comment on your program. I do want to wish you great success with your endeavor and hope your program is a great success.
11. 95.7° in southern Washington State. Clear, sunny and beautiful!
12. Once again a great poem Davey!!!! Thanks for sharing the great bond between you and Alfie!
13. When I saw this post my heart almost stopped until my brain remembered the almost in your topic title. We all know how much you love your fids, it is so apparent in every post you write, the love and affection just shines right through. I am so very, very happy that you were there to divert Jeepers. I hope your daughter is alright and didn't take a fall. Happy Dance for a great outcome!!!
14. Thanks for sharing Omar with us. Great and funny bathing video!
15. Hi Larry and family. Welcome to the grey family!
16. Hi Greg, nice to hear from you. Sorry about your Amazon. I have two fids my Grey (11 months) and an Eclectus (10+ years). They aren't lovey dovey but I believe they are good companion for each other. They are both quiet companions. Two are more work, but you already know that, but I believe so worth it.
17. Debbie, I can't give that sweet hubby of yours a karma but I can give you a karma for reeling in one of the smart, loving and considerate ones!!!!! :cheer:
18. Debbie out of curiosity, and if you don't mind, what made you get in touch with Rileys' former owner? How did you know he might want his companion back?
19. I wouldn't worry about your grey biting the vet. He was afraid of this stranger and used his only weapon. Put yourself in his place. You put him in a box (carrier) took him to a strange place with a stranger wanting to handle him. I might bite too if I don't understand what is happening. As for enforcing boundaries, I believe we should always do that so our fids aren't confused about what we expected of them.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2009/07/24 06:16

21. Very cute babies Medic 3709. Have you any idea which one will be yours yet? Have you had a chance to hold them?
22. Well Azzie I think it is hysterical!!!! Thanks for sharing Cleo with us!!!
23. I'm too old for someone to now tell me I can't defend myself. So I will continue to be myself.
24. So sorry Caitlin that Ecko is being a "brat." Ana Grey will pull what I call "Diva" on me once in a while and I just move on. If she will not step down when I am in a hurry I just climb up on my step stool and get her down from the top of her net and give her a good talking to. I believe she understand even if it is just the tone of my voice that is letting her know I am now pissed off. She usually then straightens up. If I am not in a hurry I just leave the room and not come back for her until she has to call me and when I go back she will then comply and be good as gold. My Ana Grey is spoiled and like all spoiled children some times they need to be put back in line. The important thing is to not let it get you down. Ecko's loyalties may change tomorrow and you want to be available for her to come to for reassurance.
