I was a member here before I got Ana Grey so she has been absolutely no problem. She is a quiet loving grey. Now my Sully is a re-homed male Eclectus that no one wanted because he was a screamer and terrible plucker. He bites those he doesn't like. He does tolerate me though and has stopped screaming and plucking. He is a laid back ekkie who prefers to sit in his cage or in his travel cage in my office. I don't know how old he is because he was a rescue about 8 year ago when he was found in a car wash totally plucked and turned over to the local pet shop. He and I have been buds since May and I have high hopes that he will become fully feathered again and want to come out and play.

No Sully can't fly. I believe the last time he flew was when they found him over 8 years ago in the carwash. The pet shop owner clips all her birds so she probably clipped Sully soon after she caught him. But he will get he chance to fly again, I promise that if he can, he will. He has lost some clipped feathers but I have not seen him try to fly yet. But one day he will, I just know it!

They are such cuties!!!! Messy or not they are precious!!!

My Ana Grey was born 8/6/08. She is 15 months old.

Thanks everyone!!!! Ana Grey has found her wings and she is starting to hover over where she wants to be. It is amazing to me to see her go where she wants. I know that you with flighted greys, who have always been flighted can't possible know what this means to me and how thrilled I am. I am afraid that she will misjudge and I might be careless and Ana Grey escape but I try not to dwell on that and let it spoil my joy for my grey. One step at a time and to be as diligent as I can, it is all I can do. So thank you all for sharing my joy with me!! Thank you!

Then there are people like me who can't draw a straight line with a ruler as an aid. Give me a right angle and the line will still won't be straight. So sad:( :(

Amanda karma to you for taking in an older grey. I believe in time you and Baby will be the best of friends. Just be patient and take things at Baby's pace and he will come around. Remember it has only been 10 days and he has two years of his "old" life to get over. Patience and love and you and Baby are on your way. There are many threads with oodles of information here at the forum so read away!!! Good luck to you and Baby!
