1. Well let's see, perhaps the The Blue-Fronted Amazon. Unlike most amazons their beaks are mostly black. Their body feathers are mostly green and they are approximately about 15" long. They have blue feathers on the forehead above the beak and yellow on the face and crown.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2010/02/12 23:35

3. To be on the safe side, I boil my fids' eggs. That way I don't have to worry about fat or teflon or anything.
4. What a beautiful and healthy baby you have there!!! Issac is starting to refuse his formula because he is full. I would continue offering it until he no longer wants any at all. I am assuming you are giving him pellets and fresh veggies and nuts and seeds that he is liking more! Congrats on being very in tune with your grey, it will last a lifetime!

13. I have a male ekkie, but he is not your average ekkie. He was found in a local car wash and turned over to the local pet shop where he had been for over 8 years. He was a plucker when found and still is. He was re-homed at least three times and always returned to the pet shop because he was a screamer and biter. I believe he a much older bird, as he is very set in his ways and very much a loner. He doesn't like my Ana Grey and has attacked her although she would like very much to be his friend. He prefers to sit in his cage or in the smaller cages I have set up around the house for him. If I put him on a hanging perch he gets down and goes to his cage or one of the other smaller cages I have set up for him. He likes to be in the same room as me but in his cage. He has stopped screaming but still plucks. We are working on that, as best we can with Aloe Vera Juice and Pluck No More. The vet says he is healthy so I fear he is just a chronic plucker. We will continue to try as this is his forever home. I wasn't going to post about Sully as I believe his life has been different than ekkies who have always had good parronts. So as I say, I believe he is probably an except to the rule and is still a work in progress.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2010/02/12 23:38
14. Congratulations on your upcoming retirement Jay & Maggie. A well deserved rest for some great people!
15. Pretty good guns going there Khan! My Ana Grey likes bombs and my ekkie is a laser guy!
16. I have all the sprouting equipment and seeds, perhaps I'll give it another try as Ana Grey lost interest in the sprouts very quickly when I did it before. Maybe if I try again she will like them!
17. What is this Goffin's name? I don't know anything about Toos except that they are very loving and like attention. When I had my open-heart surgery in 1976, I remember what a long recovery it was. I shall pray that Gene is alright. It is so worth it all and I have enjoyed many productive and happy years. I pray Gene will be home soon to enjoy his sweet Goffin.
18. Great picture of your baby grey! Have you taken a look in the Homemade Toys & Playstands Room. There are lots of ideas there!
