You can try "rescue remedy." I have a friend that gives it to her ekkie when he is wookin po nub, and she swears by it. It is a herbal headache remedy sold at trader does and many health food stores. Stick 5 drops in his water dish every day and it acts like birdy valium. My vet said that there is no risk of over dosing the bird, they will just get sleepy if they have had too much. That said, I still wouldnt give him more than a drop a day increase if the 5 doesnt work.

I didnt see your design on the site (didnt ecpect to) but ventilation can be problematic. Also, Lets say your bird "sqiurts" How are you going to be able to get your hand between the bars and the plastic to clean the sides of the cage? One of my firends has several Lories and purrchased plastic mats at staples (the kind you put rolling office chairs on) to go under the cage. You can buy really big ones. They are cheaper than a plastic cage and you can get a floor spot cleaner (like a roomba but with liquid and scrubby brushes) to clean the poo spots.

We sell them at the store, and I have seen, inspected and dismantled them. They are well made and pretty, but they are too small for our fids. Also, they are expensive (you pay for the pretty) when you consider the size. Their warranty excludes a lot of basic stuff and their shape is a limiting factor in toy placement. Overall, they are nice if you want a pretty cage in green and tan, but sonce they dont come in a lot of different color combos and are pricey, I doubt they will be something most people want. On a side note, we sell a lot of other manufacturers. Customers dont spend much time looking at these in the store.

Maybe on oof you can help me with this. Both of my fids can fly. Buddy is really good at it, Schroeder.....not so much. He can't figure out how to tune, and as a result, kept flying into the wall. We ended up mounting foam on the walls as a just in case measure and really drilling the stay command into him so he doesnt take off and break his neck. We take him out with the aviator and flight line and let him fly in circles, but it isnt helping (we didnt really expect it to). Any ideas on how to help Schroeder learn to turn?

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing Schroeder is the one thing I worry most about, and I can't imagine being able to let him go. I can only imagine the pain you must be feeling, and I hope you are able to find comfort with your friends and family.

It takes a couplle of days to get used to it, but soon she wont want to come in and you will find that you have 2 totally different greys. The inside greay and the outside twin.

Buddy likes toforage on the botttom of his cage and sort through "old food" if he can reach it, so I am really diligent on keeping the bottom of his cage cootie free. Perhaps Rose is trying to forage?

My thoughts on shoulders are that it's ok if I put them up there, but they MAY NOT go up there on their own. I have not had issues with wither of my birds, but I was very lucky and they mind me all the time. If they every try anything naughty up there, it will be a verbotten zone, but so far no issues. I should note that I never wear any jewelry around them (except for my wedding set) and cant use hair products (they make me itch) I would follow Dave's advise if you have anything in your hair, jewelry or a willful fid.

Buddy has picked up on some of the noises our new neighbors make while doing their cloaca dance. Needless to say, I can't bring him to my mom's home and let him around my little sister at the moment.

I tried it with a mini recorder that I held in the puppet head and could press while it was "talking" Schroeder looked at me like I was retarded and chewed it's eyes off when I wasn't looking. Needless to say, it didn't work very well. I hope you have good luck with it though

Someone else cleans your house, the same person that took JillyBeanz' stones. They spend a lot of time cleaning (out) your jewelry box, your purse and your safe.
