  1. Thank you for being one of the only women to be honest about your species being lesser then the men, it took a brave girl to do it but I'm proud well done. Good karma for you LOL
  2. heehee see the problem with Adam was the fact he was surrounded by freedom, this was the problematic thing for Adam due to him not being taught how to discipline and control his pets the poblems withwomen is innocence they honestly believe they are our equals its ignorance rather than pig headedness This being the difference between me and Adam. gods problem was he has waited until nw to create me. I on the other hand kno control and discipline and have my lady well trained and under control, well thats what she let's me believe. Haha
  3. Keeping enemies closer huh? Maybe thats why I sleep next to teresa when she is allowed out of the kitchen. Dan with this arguement I think we can juggle torches let alone pass them not like we need our hands for this battle just the occasional silver tongue

  8. The only way to tell would be to introduce the pair would it not?? i have found in my experience that greys have a vast array of personallities i suppose the only way to tell is to get them together and see how they interact, we got our parrot from a household that had other parrots dogs and children and their other parrot got along fine with the toddlers i think you call them. Hope this all goes well and you get your grey
  9. awww:blush: shucks heehee DavE
  10. nooo girls can't take over the man forum :pinch: although i do believe judy has written more on here than all the men put together... thinkng about it how many men are on this site? i have seen two other than me oh well never mind. i like ladies teehee DavE
  11. Judy you are just jealous of my genius mind <<see what i did there [got your name too] oooh im great, yea been pooped on three times in 1hour30mins Dan i think that would be extremely geek and fun haha but imagine the noise a room full of teenagers and teen birds? the greys would probably having the intellectual conversation about state affairs and politics and the teenagers just grunting as we do FairY cheers DavE
  12. All read, arent i good that must have taken a while to write took me two days to read at the moment cleo is on a seed diet with fruit and veg mixed in we give try to feed her lots of fruit and vegetables and are contemplating getting a small amount of pellets and putting some in her food just to boost up the vital bits, she is a VERY active bird. currently we have two supplements that we give her one is Calcivet to boost calcium and the other is a multivitamin thingy but you wrote something about not feeding thenm this is tht for entirely seed based diets it is bad or every diet?? she doesnt have to much of this just a bit here and there on her mango n things. you talk about the parrots needing grit is this the same as poultry grit we had two chickens and they had a grit which was about the size of a coffee grain is this what is used for the parrots?? thank you much:) DavE
  13. yea, i understand what you are saying vacuum cleaning or doing the dishes is a struggle with a BABY parrot trying to balance on your shoulder she is pretty diabolical as it is at balancing, although the little genius is learning to sleep on one foot everynow and then she does it quite well klaus is a kool name kinda like sandy klaus[nightmare before christmas] i used to love that film when i was younger. hope the cuddles carry on DavE
  14. hahaha that previous thread about non bathing birdies was informative and funny to read so did everyone manage to bathe their birds? and the cabbage leaf what happened there? lol. Clo is in a mood today she is just sitting in her cage and doesnt want to come out? throwinga tantrum we took her in the shower so she had the mist then she fell over and ended up getting drenched teehee ^.^ silly bird but she is all lovely and clean now i'm going to have to find the sunflower seeds to make her happy. DavE
  15. I hope you get this problem resolved with the greatest haste, i hope clëo doesn't start that. But i am sure one day once this is over look back and think that was one silly bird and be able to laugh:P , i'm sorry for laughing at your misfortune i now know to look out today because karma is going to kick me in the a**. Happy Parroting. DavE
  16. Well if she matures like i did, she will be immature for the rest of her parroty years, another thing i would like to ask you all is that clëo used to be an absolute angel but for the past week maybe now she has became really disobedient for instance she refuses to step up quite often and if i'm trying to put her to bed i find this quite funny instead of stepping up she will lightly hop over my hand and totally ignore me like "no i'm not going to bed you can't make me" style. silly birdy DavE
  17. nooooo i like cuddles the only thing outside of cuddles i get is her poop ahh well at least its pretty green poop Pfft she is a great bird whether she is pooping cuddling or sqwauking [have no idea how to spell that word] so loud in my ear that it rings for a few seconds DavE
  18. Me and Teresa have became totally addicted to this site, it's kinda sad but who cares we had a friend round last night to relax and have a beer with and all we did all night was sit with clëo [i was getting pooped on] and look at photos of evveryone elses greys. I have just gotten out of the shower and oh look i'm back, the student life is hard DavE p.s. Cheers Dan[mcq] i'm guessing real name Dan?
  19. koolies. Thanks for the great information, im not going to lie i read the first two paragraphs but i will finish the rest later me and my girlfriend have taken all the sunflower seeds and peanut out of our greys diet and use them as treats for things such as when she lies on her back in our hands which is good for a baby we have had for a couple of weeks. But as promised i will return later and be edu me cated by your highness DavE
  20. yes she is a baby [oct 29th 2007]i do appologise the thing that threw me off was that we got her off another family and she took to us pretty well. ohh i hope she doesn't out grow it, it's the only nice thing i get from her apart from the occasional relieving sigh from her pooping on me, ohh its so yummy but she enjoys it i suppose DavE
  21. Welcome to the world of greys. what to expect hmm well i have encountered poops and naps, that is what i get. My girlfriend on the other hand gets the play time and dinner times. i want play times poop time is horrible she does it every 10minutes. you will enjoy your grey they are amazing animals DavE
  22. I have read many articles saying that african greys are not cuddley birds but the day after ours arrived home she was snuggling into our necks and making us give her hugs and kisses? I was wondering whether this was just due to CAG's being as individual as humans or ours just being a crazy little bird because she is too cuddley for only having her two weeks ????? teehee ^.^ I would Appreciate Yeppers or Nopes for your greys cuddleyness DavE [MisterDavE] & Teresa [Nekkyousha]
  23. hahaha not much thank you and yourself?? hope all is well. DavE
  24. hello buddy, me and my Girlie friend have had a grey for a couple weeks now and she is the same age as yours, we have found this website incredibly useful, factual and fun. you chose the right place to come. Enjoy, educate and be educated DavE
  25. That makes me un-happy silly human, should have got the grey to try and train her, maybe the grey knew compassion... stooopid stooopid people, Obvoiously the grey may have known these phrases and had a small understanding of what they meant but honestly now how can a grey be two faced?? unless it was some mutated lil birdy with two heads? Greys are definately for life and not just throw away, i have became so attached to our parrot in such a short time its un-believable how people can be so detatched to them DavE
