I dont agree either, i think she is funny. and just for informations sake, i have said on afew of the posts on this thread that its not just about the cussing, although that is a very funny part of it! go back and read my posts.

I wonder if anyone actually took alook at the videos and saw the VAST array of other words Ruby can say? such as... -Hello gorgeous Nick -Hello baby -Can i come out? -Can i go for a walk -Bonjour -Sherry dear? -You're not funny -You're not getting anymore food -Night Night sausage This is all in addition to afew various cuss words. This bird shows the intelligence of all of our greys and their potential. Although i may not personally use language as colorful as Ruby's, i appreciate what an amazing vocabulary she has learnt!

David! So good to hear you will take in all these birds! it would be very "untasteful" to be in your house with all those foul mouthed birds throwing obscenities at each other!!!! Bravo to you!!

http://www.petco.com/product/15467/Polly-s-Portable-Stand-with-Polly-s-Pastels-Perch.aspx is that what you are looking for monique?

Im not sure if this is right or wrong but my breeder clips only one wing on my 2 birds, this way they still dont really fly but if they jump they have an easy glide down. Not sure if this is right or wrong! They very rarely jump tho. Pretty good.

I also saw them today at petco and various other pet stores. alot of online pet stores do free shipping on orders over so much! Also, another thought...my wife and i got one at a bird show that was handmade and pretty cheap. Maybe see if there is one coming up in your area!

The band is closed. Although isnt is possible that they put that 06 band on an 07 baby?? This is so confusing! His eyes are light, but his tail is BRIGHT red tipped with a darker color, almost black. i'm going to try and upload a picture!! this should be interesting

Hi all I have had so many awesome responses from you all in my previous threads that i thought i would ask you on this one. I purchased my grey on 08/01/07. he was sold to me as an 8-10 week old baby. Having prior handfeeding experience with other birds i decided the weaning process would be fine to do at home. My wife and i took the bird home. The first thing we did was have him checked by a vet. all was good. no problems there. As we started to learn more and more about things we looked into what the info on the band ment. We were kinda shocked to see that the band on our grey showed 2006. Having purchased the bird as an 8-10 week old "baby" we were surprised to see this. We have a breeder friend near where we live we took Simon too. He is now "supposedly" 15 weeks old. The breeder took one look at him and told us this was no young bird. he said his eyes are not almost completley black and he could just tell he was older. We were shocked at this, after we had been feeding him since we took him home. We called the petstore and they are telling us this is the age they say....so why does it have on an 06 band? Any info AT ALL will help us. Also is it legal to put a previous years band on a new baby? Thanks everyone!

Monique I had a Moluccan growing up and my mother also had her rehomed. She was a beautiful bird but very loud!! i love the cuddly-ness of the cockatoos and thats what was endearing to me, although i do not want to take in a bird at this time that will eventually need to be rehomed. i want to be very well educated before i just jump feet first. Thanks for your input!

Was wondering, has anyone here ever owned a bare eyed cockatoo?? My wife and I were possibly thinking of adopting one, there is a woman locally who has some babies. I have read up online for a few weeks, but wondered if anyone had 1st hand experience?! I welcome all your opinions B)
