  1. Hello Lasfloresdrive and welcome to the group. It's great to see that you have done your research, and you are wright not to purchase an unweaned grey if you have no experience in raising them, even a confident breeder may have problems now and then and the time required for regular feedings and attention is great. If this is your first grey then please wait until the bird is weaned and doing well on it's own. Some times a bargin is not a bargin, please be careful. All the best and good luck on finding a grey. Benny
  2. Hello Greg and welcome to the group. I'm happy to hear that you are doing your research on African Greys before you purchase, as you may or may not know they require alot of attention daily and do live up to 60 years of age, this is a big commitment on your part and hats off to you if you are willing to take on this relationship with a grey. All the best to you Greg and again welcome. Benny

  7. Hello Ronda and welcome to the group. I have both Tag & Cag love them both. It seems to me that the Cag is more of a one person bird as for the Tag they seem to go to any one who will give them attention. They are both big sucks and will win your heart, just remember that they can give you a good bite if provoked. Good luck on your choice.

Hey Dan that story is just to funny but I can just imagine the thoughts going through your head:laugh: It's a wounder that it does not bother the birds yet infact they love it. Have a great day.
  15. Remember to always freeze your feed for 24 - 48 hrs to kill bugs or larva, most food will contain some insects. Better safe then sorry, be sure your birds are in a well ventilated area if you are going to use a spray as it is harmful to the birds. Use extreme caution, good luck Benny

    fruit pot!

Hi Beccy, kiwi is great for them. My greys love them almost as much as prickley pears, in fact all my birds go nuts for kiwi & prickley pears, cherries (no pit), pineapples, cantalope, apples, blue berries, cooked beans & pasta, and hot peppers. It seems the hotter the better but remember before you give them a kiss prepare yourself for a hot lips:laugh: enjoy Benny
