  1. It is always a tough decision beccy when considering another bird, you know all the pros & cons so im not going to go on just if you have the time & love to give to them both & you want another bird i say follow your heart. Brian is still very young, he may not be the best of friends with a new bird but in time he may tolerate him, & you never know they may become friends. I wish you all the luck in the world coming to a decision
  2. Hi Laura & Here is a link showing what our members feed their greys. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/bird-food/24030-whats-your-greys-diet.html
  3. Hi Sophie & welcome. It does sound as if you have doubts. There is alot to consider when re homing a grey.He is 10 years old & pretty set in his ways, will you have the time to dedicate to him ? He will need to learn to trust you & gain his confidence around you.If his 1st owner abused him he may have some problems that come with that. You wont know to what extent he has been damaged. As for the second owners, getting a new bird & getting rid of this one is is appaling. I admire you considering him but if you have not had greys before i think taking on a re home may be a bit much.Perhaps a baby grey would be more suitable.Whatever you decide we will help as much as we can.
  4. Not a great photo but my two fluffed up relaxing
  5. I agree guys, greys do fluff up when happy & when angry & defensive, i think we all know our own birds to distinguish when their happy or not
  6. Molly please make sure you check out your birds new home & it is his forever home,Birds being moved from home to home can end up mentally scared. It is sad that you have to sell him

  18. yum Branston , a girl after my own heart Well i thought as much,im afraid i cant help no-more as your rings are different from the UK ones.We will have to see if any of the us members know how the rings are worked out here. yes the band is annoying, but hey I wouldn't be too worried he is definitely a baby, i would say he is about 4 months old, As long as he is healthy & eating well, is he eating seeds or pellets along with what you guys are feeding him ? fruit & veg ? Perhaps think about cutting back his handfeeding to maybe night times so he has a full crop before bed Any worries give me a shout
  19. Tricky i am in the UK so wont be of much use ! i know us brits use Ebay alot, have you looked on there ?
  20. Thats why i asked !! Well i thiought i had solved it !! Well he is a baby by the picture you loaded & i checked your pictures on your profile. Does it say 07 anywhere on the ring ?? Some breeders here in the UK number their babies he may have been baby no 6 ? Your rings are most likely different from what we have, can you make out anything else on the ring ?
  21. Staggy he is definitely a baby by looking at your picture. Just confirm you purchased him 8th january o7 ?? He was 8/10 weeks old then ?? If this is correct he was born in o6 so the ring is correct
