Great to hear you have someone to come & stay at your house with your grey.I wouldnt worry to much, I'm pretty sure he will be fine with you when you return, is it possible you could ring him !! just to say hello, so he can still hear his mums voice

Well Alfie loves a cuddle, snuggled in to my chest & falls asleep, Freddie likes a head scratch but is not keen on cuddles, coco loves all the beak rubbing on me & has started to regurgitate for me :sick: Her & Alfie make all the whimpering baby sounds, its so cute.

Yes A big favouirte of mine joe i love all the old stuff, i'm a big motown girl,Diana Ross & Tina Turner are my all time favourites & i have been fortunate to have seen them both on nearly every occasion they performed here in the UK

Hannah, even after your baby is fully weaned you can still give a spoon feed My two boys love a warm pureed fruit mix / baby food fed by spoon in the evenings & they are 8 months.If you can do this it also comes in very handy if you have to give medication at any point in the future, you can just administer it with the spoon feed

fils, I'm sorry for your loss, this is such a sad story & I'm positive you was sold an unweaned baby. The pet shop has a lot to answer to, Negligence & incompetence as Dan rightly says. You did all you could have done & if it wasnt you the bird would have been sold to someone else to suffer the trauma you have. Please stick around

Hi Nancy, yes mine love warm porridge or the occasional jar of baby food, it's nice to offer them something different some days, i sure get bored eating the same thing & I'm sure our birds would if we didnt offer them variety

Great stories Joe & Judy I met Stewart at a friends engagement party,That particular Saturday night i didnt want to go, i was feeling unwell & wasn't in the mood for partying My younger sister nagged me to go as she didnt know many of the people going, so i gave in & went . Im with dblhelix , This does sound a very urgent situation. if you can get a syringe & some hand formula you need to insert the syringe into the beak and apply a little pressure which releases the food. If not try the spoon method, bend the sides up to form a trough. You can control the flow of the formula quite easily, feed with the spoon in almost a horizontal position. It is very dangerous to put food into the mouth of a baby who has no feeding response, During a feeding response or pumping, the opening to the trachea is closed and it is safe to feed so long as the baby is swallowing.With some other species, like the Grey, very gently pushing the spoon in the mouth so that the formula is delivered at the back of the mouth will elicit a feeding response. Please seek further advice if you are not confident with attempting these methods.
