  2. As the others have said the only thing you can do is attempt to entice it down,It's not the first time i have heard of the RSPB or the RSPCA not really wanting to know.As you are in the UK you could try & contact (John Hayward tel 01869 325699) he deals with a register for lost & found parrots, if you give your location there may be someone in that area missing a grey e-mail jh@ntr.supanet.com
  3. Joe hunny :kiss: Thank you for your kind words,I'm with the others, i love being here, i love moderating my bird food room & i am privileged to have met the nicest group of people who i class as my friends. {Love-0002012D}

  5. deedee i would not feed burger & sausage to often & the twix is a big NO NO Chocolate is poisonous to birds & affects a bird's digestive system, causing vomiting and diarrhea. As the condition progresses, the bird's central nervous system is affected, first causing seizures and eventually death.
  6. Sneezing is common if it is just as you say periodically ,if he is sneezing a great deal and if mucus or fluid are present then this would be cause for concern as this would indicate some kind of illness.
  7. deedee as Judy said never give up, keep offering it to her,never say never !! I sometimes blend some vegtables in to a smooth paste & spread it on wholemeal toast or try a fruit mix ,a jar of baby food spread on toast, worth a try
  8. Greys are lactose intolerant, they are unable to digest enzymes in normal diary milk,many members do give soy milk. Here is a link to one topic http://www.greyforums.net/forums/bird-food/26844-lactose-free-milk-for-mende.html

  15. Hi Lynne hope your son is ok now I don't personally have any experience with Prozac but from what i have heard is that it may have a place and a short term effect in some cases, but usually once Prozac is withdrawn, the plucking will recur if the bird's circumstances are unchanged. I'm hoping Dave who has a vast knowledge will be able to help out here when he see the thread
