  2. I tend to agree Judy, the majority of greys including mine like their veg steamed or slightly cooked,i also sometimes mash them up a bit for them just like baby food & serve warm.I find with raw food they tend just to chew it to pieces as opposed to easting it :unsure:

Thanks for that Lisa, it would be great to share your experience with this site & of course what your birds opinions are A tip for the palm nuts, i defrost mine in a cup of hot boiled water,once the water has gone cold, approx an hour i give them a pinch with my fingers which opens them up a little.If your birds find the whole nut a bit much at first, peel strips of for them It's the pulp they eat.
  5. oh Dan I'm sorry you are unable to get hold of them, i know for sure Dayo would love them,i have never known a grey yet who doesn't.

    Thanks Reta & Judy for the info, mine have organic jars of baby food, generally the vegtable ones & fruit puree

  11. Thanks Dan, i do believe there is love in the air Coco seems to be smitten ! Yes will do believe he was imported , but at what age we dont know My aim in the long run is to have a content grey who wants to live with the other three as part of a flock.
  12. i have no experience of the Timneh grey but to be honest apart from size & color they are just as wonderful birds at the congo.They have the ability to mimic & like any bird will have their own individual personaity.I think it is down to personal preference & what one you prefer.I would love to have a Timneh

  15. Lisa a lot of greys love to have a warm night time feed As long as he eats everything else throughout the day thats fine.My greys still have a few spoonfulls of baby food at night & there a year old.

  23. Well i moved soldier's cage nearer to the birdroom as he seemed to be really intrested in the other 3 greys. He kept climbing on the door so i a put a perch up for him, he sat chatting to Coco Alfie & freddie ignored him as you will see in the picture, they were more concerned with wreckinh the place !! He seemed real happy sitting on one leg with Coco making gooey eyes at him :laugh: not a great picture, i have dropped my camera & its gone funny
