  1. Did he eat much of the cob ? They tend to use the cob more as a shredding toy than really eat it.He will be fine, just try & encourage him to eat the actual corn first next time
  2. Tofu, also known as soya curd, is a soft cheese-like food made by curdling soya milk with a coagulant. If i was you i would feed in moderation,i wouldnt personally included it as a regular part of Nicky's diet. You can feed meat to your grey in moderation also

  9. Baby greys are all individuals, there is no set age as to which a grey will be fully weaned. The average age does appear to be around 12 weeks but it may be as young as 10 weeks & as late as 16 weeks. If Noah was eating independently & maintaining his weight then he probably was weaned. As Siobhan suggests offer Noah an evening feed, many greys including older ones really seem to enjoy this
  10. Hi Darkmocha & Welcome. There is a ton of information in the bird food room on diet.As Siobhan im in the UK & all of the seed mix's i know of contain nuts.Perhaps some of our US members will be able to advise you. As for introducing a cage, perhaps have one set up all ready for your grey for when you bring him home, have his travel cage set up near the cage & hopefully over time he will be able to make the move. Is he handable ? As you know time & patience is the biggest factor,im sure given time you will reap the rewards from him. Look forward to hearing more from you

  18. Yes offer as much variety as you can,the veggies have more nutritional value than the fruits but some greys still enjoy them If you have a look around the bird food room there is plenty of information, anything your unsure about, just ask

  20. Quote "Sorry have not been in touch. My baby has been xrayd now and its bad news. He has psittacosis which is a disased liver. He also has a calcium definciaty" Was psittacosis confirmed by blood tests ? Blood samples will only demonstrate antibodies, which mean the bird has been exposed to Chlamydophila at some time, the bloods need to be repeated because the first can come back negative. Was the calcium deficiency rectified ? Who may i ask is your vet in the UK ?
