Very unique, but the more I look at it, I'm not so sure I would want one...I love the brilliant red tail on my birds. No offence to that bird, but red isn't as boring as white.
Just make sure the bristles are not stapled in! That would be very bad for your bird.
I buy the clear ones at the dollar store so I can see how they are attached. Plus, they already have a hole in the end for hanging.
Has anyone ever heard of, or seen this before?
This is a picture of a White Tailed CAG that I accidently found on the internet.

I know I read it somewhere, but I can't find it and every site I have been to, seems to say they are ok.
This is the most common list found of DON'TS...
Some foods that are toxic to parrots include: avocado, raw onion, rhubarb, olives, caffeine, chocolate, alcohol, carbonated drinks, dairy products, processed meats, sugar, and salt.
She did say they were ok, but I'm not sure. There are still so many yes/no answers out there,I'm not taking any chances.
I'm trying to find where I read about the tomatoes, when I find it I'll post here.
It had something to do about the time of day it grew or something like that?
My Spanky is "potty" trained, but not for the toilet.
Everytime he started to squat to poo, I'd say go poop, go poop, good boy. Now, he does it on command. I ask him to go before he perches on me, and he is ok for quite awhile, depending on when he last ate or drank.
30-45 minutes later, I take him to his stand or cage, and say go poop, and he does right away.
It's all a matter of reading your birds body language.
Even if we are out, I put him on my hand, stretch it out and say go poop, and he obeys.
As for the actual toilet, I wouldn't take the risk!
I too read that mushrooms were bad for greys, so I asked my avian vet, she said cooked mushrooms were ok, but I figure...WHY TAKE THE RISK?
I myself LOVE mushrooms also, and have to be careful not to feed them anything with mushrooms in it.
I also heard tomatoes wern't good for them either, anyone hear different?
Thanks guys.
I already have a cage, I had bought it for Dalra, but it was too big. I bought her a new one and will use this for the baby.
I haven't got a name yet until I find out the sex, sometime the end of Sept., but it will be another name from the little rascals.
probably either Buckwheat for a boy, and Miss Crabtree for a girl. lol
I hope it's a boy just for the name.
I finally got a picture of my new baby.
It hatched August 10th, so it is 10 days old in this picture.
I found this link to help me understand where my baby is in the growing process, and just thought I'd pass it on to all of you. It is just a scrapbook of a Scarlett Macaw, from egg to going home with new owners.

Hello and welcome...finally.
I hope you have as great a time here as I do, there are a lot of very nice people here.
To everyone reading this post, Simon the TAG is really mine, I'm still trying to find a way to sneak him out of the house without Mr.& Mrs. Fourtrap seeing me. What a sweet bird.
Love ya B,
I also have 2 CAG's, and my male talks way more than the female. I do need to say though, that I've only had her for 3 months, she is 2, and she didn't say a word until 3 days after she got here. She talks a fair amount, but not like my boy. She is content to whistle or just play.
These are somemore of my favorites...

peek a boo, what'cha doin darla, good girl, it's ok
Not sure stained glass is something you should do around these birds, as I believe lead is used to hold glass. Fumes and residue on hands might be harmful. I may be wrong, forgive me if I am. I was always interested in doing it myself. I have tons of patterns for it.
If they just turned grey, then your grey is just growing up. Most greys I've heard of, change from black to yellowish to grey.
If you were told your bird was 3 months and she already had grey eyes, I think you were lied to.
