Took Alcazar, Shanook & Bailey to the vets. When it came to Alcazar's turn the vet called in a technician to help him he told me he didnt want Alcazar to take anything out on me later on. So they held him down in a craddled fashion holding his talons and his head.Poor Alcazar just started to sqwuak and he groweled then in minutes he settled down.The vet told me to stand away so he doesnt see me.After they were done he told technician to let momma save him, we laughed. I grabbed him from technician I never seen such a happy bird !! He started to do his sexy whistle then and his cluck cluck. Got him home took him out of the crate he almost nearly flew to his cage and hes clipped. All pets looked good he said Im doing good things w/all.

I can answer on qestion for you. My baby was born MAy 20th. I wasnt able to bring him home until he was 16 weeks old. He wouldnt stop the morning hand feeding. He would just not eat on his own enough. Then on his 16th week he started too. As for the other questions Im sure they will be answered by other bird brain smart people here.

Our PetCo Doesnt sell stands infact they dont sell big birds. Our PetSmart is better than PetCo.

yea thats what it seems w/ Alcazar. Side of the bowl. I switched his perches 3 times thats why Im asking...lol

I'm having trouble deciding how far his perches should be from his bowl and how high. I mean even with his little steps.I want to make sure he can reach all his foods, treats and waters

As for him wandering. I feel ts normal. ALcazar doesnt stay put either. he likes being to investigate. If he gets outta hand I return him to his cage. FOr awhile he would keep jumping away. Just keep returning him to the area even if its 1001 times. Gotta show them your the leader of the flock not them

yea 9 weeks is early alot of people on her knew it took Alcazar like 12 weeks. I would take him back and let them finish. If you dont have a scale you really dont know if hes healthy and maintaining his weight

Sorry to hear about Obi. Even though you had a short time w/ him.Our babies are like our kids once we have them the love starts. My prayers are with you. Update us of what happened so many other friends can be careful w/ their babies. Again. Really sorry. < HUGS >

I got a sample in mail of Harrison's coarse. Alcazar does not care for it. He hasnt touched his food for 6 hours so Im going to toss that out. Dont want him to starve

My fav restaurant is Red Lobster my 2nd fav is Olive Garden

I like keeping mine because on top Alcazar uses his foot toys and wobble ball. If I didnt use it then the foot toys will fall through to the poopoo area, ewww.He seems to play more on his top play area than his cage area.

I cover Alcazar at naptime for kids and night time, Evrytime I close at naptime I say shhhhh to him. At night when I close it I say good night.I do this so then hopefully he'll uunderstand its nap or bedtime. He may not ever understand but oh well.

yea they are. WOW Alcazar loves everything going on at my house. Sometimes he joins in the action. I think he loves Row ROw ROw Your Boat cause everytime we sing it he screams like hes singing w/ us or.... maybe hes tellin us to be quiet cause we sound terrible sining...lol

I have a slide out tray on mine on top too. What I do is just slighty lift the tray while I hook the toy on the grid and place it back down.
