oh and he did bite a daycare kids finger and the kids know not to go near him now. I still try though to bring him out and I do let them pet his back when his face is towards me. I also have the older daycare child place the bowls in the cage. Our cage though has the doors that open though
How Alcazar's life style is I'm positive he knows the difference. When he's around my daycare kids I noticed he's more watchful of his cage area.Doesnt want to come out. When we have adult friend's come and visits us he's more calm and wanting to come out. My 10 year old niece came over this weekend and again reluctant too come out. This is my view on it.
Another sugestion. Look through this forum. I gained alot of knowledge and suggestions here. Alot of bird brains and helpful friends here. Any qustion you have it might be answered. There is no such thing as a dumb question in this forum so ask away. Good luck. It ttok me like 5 years research just to make sure a grey is what I wanted to get into. I love it !!! No regrets ,, so far.
My vet told me to give Alcazar a variety but my vet says its good that hes on a pellet diet. He said some seeds here and there isnt bad but not for a basic diet. Hes on Zupreem Tropical blend. It smells good too. I tried Harrisons sample he flung it.Im still going to try Harrisons in a fine course to see what happens.
Some one told me to get a huge dog bowl. The kind that wont tip over. They also said the square dishpan.I think Im going to do the dishpan one though. You can put some in and it wont splash as much cause its higher than the huge dog bowl. I havent done it yet. Its been cold in PA and my heater is broke and the thermo perch had to be sent back cause it wouldnt open.grrrrr. Okay Im all winded out. Sorry
Alcazar kept doing that to me he would jump off his play gym. Tracy told me to keep putting him back on the play gym.Even if its a 1000 times. You have to let him know you're the boss.
How cute.Alcazar loves when I take his pictures. If I get close though he tries to beak at it.He looks at me when I call him and he stands still so I can take it.
I love how Harrisons head is cocked like that . too cute !! Thanx for the pic.
Mine is big. I have mine w/ toys and I also rotate the toys. Mine is a total of 76" H x 40"w x 30"D. Its high because I have a play gym on top too. My inside dimension are 46" x 40"w x 30"D
Joe, your going to make me go broke here..lol,, j/k. I love Ur ideas and Ur sons. Well I want to purchase that too. I cant wait to get your gym and stand. Alcazar is soooo spoiled but well worth it. Shanook and Bailey are spoiled too. They get their toys too but Alcazar gets a tad more.
aww tooo cute. yea I bet Ur happy. I know I am when Alcazar says hello. First words are awesome. Almost when our kids say mama for first time. ok or dada. Mine said mama though.
ok I will tell you something....before we remodeled the daycare I took pics of the remodeling. They were developed.I looked through them noticed a pic of a baby in a pink thermal outfit like one years old she looked. I looked at our negatives because at the time I didnt take n children younger than three yrs. I looked at my negative it was black. The picture shows a faint looking baby and she is going into a light. I KID YOU NOT !! I still have the pic and it scares me at times. I also lived in an apt before and I would hear a baby cry and it meant someone in the building was pregnant. I would hear cries throughout the pregnancy of whoever was in the apt. unit.Pretty weird stuff. So far havent had anything going on since 2000
No take it from me you need to do at least a to years research.I had keets and tiels before and I still done alot of research. You're talking about a whole diff catergory of bird. Alot more attention is to be met with a larger bird.
