Hello all, finally brought the baby home and am all wound up with him or her (bella or guido) depending on the sex, going to vet tomorrow. I know I havent been on for a while had some medical stuff going on. I am good now, then I had the grandbabies for a week. They keep me very busy. So I am well everyone went home and all if finally quiet here ( YAY ). My little grey is adjusting fine. Because of missing toes tips (bitten off at birth) he/she cant really step up and feel secure moving around so we are doing the shoulder thing. It can climb very well around the cage with the assistance of the beak. I will post some pics soon. Miss you all and just wanted to post an up date

He/she doesnt have a name till dna, its 12 wks and only on one hand feeding a day. So wont be too long before I have my baby home. The toes were bitten by parents when born, only has one toe nail on each foot, the small toe in the back.

I cant wait till my other computer is up. It has all the software for my photos... Pictures are in my profile

Oh my gosh Judy I dont think I could go to her apartment. I would be afraid it would decide at that time to come back out and crawl on me, but I cant do crawly be it reptiles or bugs.

I come from a big family I am in the middle kindof. Seven of us in 10yrs mom was busy . Its brother, brother, sister, sister, me, sister, sister.

Since I was young I always wanted a talking bird. With all the animals we had we never had a bird. When I had my daughter we got a cockatiel, which sadly drown in our aquarium. Took me a few years and we got another. That one flew out the door as the kids were running in and out. Now like Judy said kids grown and gone, and a very quiet husband I am ready for my grey. I also wanted the smartest bird. I know he/she may never talk, part of it was the personality. I have one child and she was a real challenge, I want that again. Unlike Beckys post I definately am not waiting patiently. I am driving my husband and probable my breeder crazy. I havent even gotten the bird yet and I am considering a Quaker. Tell me no my friends tell me no

Toni, alot of people cant take them home. I cant have mine till its weaned and fledged. I cry too. Its very sad leaving them, even tho we know they are in good hands I have been waiting since May and breeder said may not be coming with me until Sept. sad sad sad Everyone one here has heard me whine for months.

Thanks Dan the problem is he/she is a little far away and I only get there once a month. I dont sleep the night before. Like a little kid

I know you dont want mom bit, but I am sure you would be very happy to be the favorite if even for only a little bit

I come from a large family 5 sisters and 2 brothers, we grew up on a farm for my early years. After moving into a small town we still had lots of animals. I am use to lots of noise and animals around. I always wanted a grey and now that children are gone, I live with a very quiet husband I think I need some more noise in my life.

Did you know you can freeze grapes. Wash them and place them on a tray and put them in the freezer. Let them there about 2 hrs then put them in baggies.
