Funny thing is my Cag has just in the last ten days decided to hate my husband, for no reason. He throws himself at the cage and screams whenever my husband gets close enough to the cage and when he is flying around the house will try to dive bomb him and when he is on my hand and my husband is close by he will try to hack him. My poor husband doesn't find this very amusing to say the least. I have been encouraging him to try harder to get Ying to love him but it is not working so far. I am always amazed though about how much Ying loves me. I can do anything with him and he just LOVES it. He starts acting all stupid dog like, wagging dancing around saying I love you I LOVE you ILOVEYOU!!! They are such funny little creatures.

I am Canadian too and used to live way up north in BC and know what it is like to have to plug in my car at night.

Thanks to those of you that posted, I have now had a chance to look around in the areas where you all live. It really makes the world seem smaller. Hope that some of you have seen Bedar, Spain. I live in the house with the triangle shaped pool....can you spot it?
-
Wow, Judy that looks like a tiny place. Do you live near the river? What is your population there, I have about 600 where I live, also small.
-
I thought that it might be fun to see where everyone lives through Google Earth. For those of you that don't know it, it is a free down load and you can see the whole wide world through great aerial photos! I live in Bedar, Spain. Check it out!

Anything BARRY WHITE !!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT...

I soak digestive cookies in a bit of warm water for a treat. Normally Ying Mo has his big feeding frenzy around 1pm he eats a litte in the am but not really that much...
-
VEry nice! I wish I was that talented with wood... Are your birds clipped so that they stay on it? That is always my problem. Ying Mo thinks the curtain rods are way more fun! Maybe once he is a bit bigger he will be more interested in staying in one spot.

Nice thread Joe, I decided to leave Canada and travel the world when I was about 18. I spent two years doing that and then I decided that it was about time to go back to Canada and get a REAL job....first though I wanted to go to Hong Kong. I met my husband there (German) in a fitness studio. It really was love at first sight. We have never been apart since we met and we have a lovely marriage over 16 years now. People are always a bit shocked as there is a 32 year age diffence, but who cares when I look around me at all the unhappiness in the world I know I am truely lucky to have met such a wonderful person. It is hard to belive that he will be 70 this march.

HI I just got rid of my tree. Ying Mo didn't seem to like it and would rather sit on the top of his cage nearer to me. I wish I had someone close by to give it to as it is a really nice old apple tree with lots of room for dangling stuff on. Oh well, I might try to introduce it to him again later once he gets bord with what he has to play with at the moment...
-
I have to agree with Joe, Ying Mo dropped quite a bit once he was totally weaned approx 75gramms, however he gained it back slowly over the last month. I would try not too worry to much which I know is hard as you have already had so many trips to the vet. I find that softened digestive cookies and a little dab of peanut butter work wonders in aiding in weight gain. All I have to do is look at my own hips hahahhaa:woohoo:

That is a great stand. I can't seem to keep my bird on a stand. He has a big tree stand with lots of dangely bits and toys but would rather fly up on the curtain rods and poop down the windows ahahha....whats a girl to do!

Thanks for the thread Joe, you are right of course we should all write more. Sometimes though I feel that I dont have the experience to be able to help answer all of the questions that are out there. I WILL TRY HARDER TO GET SMARTER! I was thinking about your olives today when I was at the spanish market and they have the really big ones filled with a whole garlic clove. Yum does that count? Lol Trina

They must be the secret ingredient in chocolate cake then, lol

My CAG is a pretty quiet guy, he has his moments though usually he has a fit and tries to kill all of his hanging toys for about 15 minutes each day and then he is fine. He can mumbel away to himself for hours on end. I don't really consider that noise, it always makes me laugh when he says 'I luvvvvvvv youuuuuu babeeeeeeeee'
-
Hi Joe, In one of the books I have olives are said to be a no no as they are too salty. I don't really know about the stones though.

Are you saying that to openly accuse someone you don't know is better? The reason that I haven't is because the person that contacts me under one name seems to be about 3 people. Maybe the member here doesn't even know it is happening or doesn't care...I certainly have had a couple of wierd MSN messages, that orginate from here. Maybe my fault for giving out my email address. However I was just hoping that it would stop if it was ignored, the only reason I brought it up was this thread....nice

Are you sure? I have the feeling that we do, which is why I haven't really participated in the forums for a while.

Interfered is the right word....

Hi everyone, sounds like you all have been pretty busy. We live here in the south of spain so most of the summer has been spent accomodation our friends on their vactions. It has been fun though. We spent Easter in Berlin and we are planning to go for 3 weeks to Hong Kong at the end of October. Poor Ying Mo is going to get a shock when he lands in his 'new home' for that time. I was also in Canada, without my husband, dealing with my older parents, both of whom had been sick. It was a nice visit but I don't really count it as a holiday. I have only been to Hawaii once but had a great time, stayed in the Pink Palace in Honolulu....

Even though I don't know you personally, please accept my hand in friendship at your time of loss....
