  1. Thanks Tari for the hearty laugh. {Feel-good-0002006E}
  2. I don't have any good photos of the whole family, but I will try to get some soon. I am not pissed that my hubby is off enjoying himself in Germany, I know he is not it is for work, and I am the one enjoying herself while he is away, you know what they say about the cat being away the mice will play. Well I am that mouse, and I might surprise you with what I may do this week.
  3. If you read her previous post right before I said that, you will see she called herself a nutter, I did not come up with that out of the blue sky, so stay on topic, me too.
  4. It kind of sounds like the bird has a thing for you, it sees you as a mate. I wouldn't encourage it, I would just ignore it.
  5. Wow, that is a big great grandson, Joe, could you have made it a little bigger, its hard to see.
  6. I don't either, Tari, you are just lucky to have quiet birds, and if your house is mostly quiet then your birds are going to be on the quieter side too. I have heard that the louder the noises and such in a house are the louder the birds are. Just count your blessings that yours do not scream and you are not a nutter like Beccy, ha ha.
  7. No mine either notices when one of us leaves, except maybe for me. She likes to be around what is going on but count yourself lucky, Laurie if your grey is concerned about occasional visitors leaving the room.
  8. But the birds come and eat all the seeds from the sunflowers and you cannot propagate new sunflowers with out the seeds. I wish this week would last a lifetime.
  9. Joe, I'll just bet you do watch body movements, mainly womens bodies, you dirty ole man. If I am ever in Florida, you better watch out for some body watching from me if I ever catch you out.
  10. Never, Tari, we know you are obsessing and we are in total agreement, we are all just a bunch of bird fanatics.
  11. It shows, Beccy, and if this is what you want then go for it, you only live once so have what you want, and I don't think you will be disappointed.
  12. Thanks, Joe for posting this poem and sharing it with us on this 6th anniversary of the horrible tragedy in New York. Yes this is a very sad day on one hand, but it is a happy day for me also for one of my granddaughters was born on Sept. 11, 2006 and she is 1 year old today, and her name is Jordan. How coincidental is that Toni? Also my hubby left for Germany this afternoon and he was apprehensive to say the least, leaving on a plane on this date.
  13. Joe you are so full of yourself, you think you will post all these photos of your work and we will stand in line to buy them as you roll them off your assembly line. You dang skippy we are, keep em coming, I don't think you will ever be able to make enough to satisfy everyone here on this forum.
  14. Hello and welcome to the family, Hannah, glad you could join us. We look forward to hearing more stories about your new grey. We have loads of information here in our many topics and threads, read over them and you will find a lot of the info you need. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask us anything, we will do our best to get you an answer. If you have a photo of your new grey you would like to post, please do, we love to see pictures of each other's greys.
  15. Dan is pretty stingy with the photos of him and his family, and I don't want to scare anyone off the forum.
  16. Another shining example of how smart these greys really are, thanks for sharing that with us, JackieL.
  17. Congratulations on the birth of such a beautiful baby girl, how precious she looks, thank heavens for little girls. Talon, I thought you had slipped one in on us there for a minute, wow, that was a close one.
  18. That is about right, Beccy, for a cage for a sun conure. My Sunny's cage is about that size and smaller than Josey's cage. They don't need all that big a cage, just like Tari said as long as they can stretch out their wings and not touch the sides. That macaw cage would be way too big, it would get lost in that big a cage. And if your sun is anything like my sun, she/he will want to be out as much as possible, a permanent fixture on your shoulder. Good luck this weekend when you go see it and let us know how it turns out.
  19. Someone dug it up from the forum graveyard and the author of the thread is no longer active, but Jawad gave an excellent answer and Dan also.
  20. I'M SHAKING IN MY SHOES, DAVE. In this case quantity and quality are the same for the women.
  21. You can't go wrong with a sun conure, they can be really funny and a joy to have around. But it is your decision, but how convenient that a sun is available, I hope you can get it.
  22. Connie, what wonderful pictures of your baby, thanks for sharing this growing process with us, it is fascinating to watch the differences in what a few days and weeks make.
  23. Besides we have them outnumbered don't we Talon?
  24. Yeah you better suck up to her Dan, she will knock you into next week if you don't behave yourself.

    ALEX MEMORIAL

You are so right, Dan, we do want to know, because something caused his death and it could make a difference in another grey's life if it could have been prevented. Thanks, Penny, for keeping us up to date.
