  1. Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase and Randy Quaid
  2. It sounds to me like this grey may need to be seen by an avian vet but he should have food available at all times. Fresh food like veggies, fruits and such should not be left in the cage but a couple of hours and then removed for it spoils and goes sour but you can leave pellets and dry type foods in a bowl in the cage.
  3. You can run but you can't hide!
  4. Any Which Way But Loose with Clint Eastwood, "right turn Clyde"
  5. The Burbs, starring Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher, I love it because it makes me laugh.:woohoo:
  6. Don't worry Jill, I will find you heh heh heh!!:laugh: {Emotions-000200C6}
  7. So when is Ben's actual hatch day?
  8. I find it is better to let them see you move the furniture and I did the same thing with the Christmas tree, Josey watched us bring it into the house and set it up, she was somewhat upset but not for long as I was telling her its ok. She didn't flap all over her cage but you could see the difference in her eyes and she got used to it real quickly.
  9. Bernie is a bloke, I rest my case.
  10. Hello Redderick and welcome to our family. Greys need at least 4 or more hours of out of cage time and some one on one interaction with you every day, as long as you can provide that then I don't see a problem. Be sure to provide plenty of toys and foraging opportunities to keep him/her busy while you are gone. Others will chime in with more suggestions and ideas for you and please read thru as many of the threads here as possible to gain as much knowledge as you can before you actually bring him/her home.
  11. Hello Jimmy and welcome to our family, we are so glad you found us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Jimmy. I am sorry to hear you didn't have your cockatoo for too long but it seemed to have whet your appetite for another bird and you made a good choice in a grey. You are right, you do have a lot of reading to do and begin with our many threads on a wide range of topics on greys and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We really love pictures here so if you have some of Jimmy you would share with us we would love to see them.
  12. We welcome questions and don't worry about sounding silly for their are no silly questions and I look forward to seeing some pictures of the next visit with your baby grey.
  13. Great addition to the forum, we do have many members with amazons so now they have a place they can ask their questions and get some answers, of course it helps that the boss has one! B)
  14. Oh you made a great choice Penny for the new room, Jay is a wealth of knowledge about most all birds and not just amazons and he has so much experience he can share with us, welcome to the team Jay.
  15. Nice photos David even if you didn't take them, thanks for sharing them with us.
  16. Now that you mention it Dee it does look like Argyle has his talon up in that all too familiar "flip the bird" signal and right to the camera too, what a stinker, wonder if Julie noticed, hmmmmmm!!
  17. I have taken my grey on many trips in the car and I do not cover her, she likes to see where she is going. Since your grey is very timid and fearful you could try it and see how it goes, if it upsets him too much then covering may be the answer. You really should take your grey on outings in the car to get him used to riding and going places and one place he probably should be going is to the vet, most of us take ours for a yearly checkup just to make sure everything is fine.
  18. Yes I do need to take some more of Sunny to share and will do that as soon as possible, as I am typing she is sitting here on my shoulder, her favorite place to be.
  19. I don't use cuttlebone, I was told they don't need it. I offer some seed along with other things in one bowl separate from the pellets, Josey is good about eating her pellets throughout the day.
  20. JillyBeanz wrote: Oh heaven forbid the gracious Jill would pass a little gas, give me a break! :pinch:
  21. Oh she is just fine as long as the girls aren't here, but it looks like that will gradually change as the girls grow up, she adores my grown daughter.
  22. It just takes some time to gain her trust but think of it in small steps for she is making progress.
  23. He is beautiful Julie, its a shame he makes you keep a distance but that may end soon, he literally glows, thanks for sharing him with us.
  24. Did you try putting it on photobucket first as you can resize it there before posting on the forum?
  25. Hello Daviet and welcome to our family and congrats on bringing home your new grey in January, bet you can hardly wait until then. Is this your first grey or first parrot? You are right, you will find lots of useful information in our many threads so do read thru them and ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. Are you visiting this grey until it is ready to come home, if so please try and get us some pictures as we love to look at the very young greys.
